INTRODUCTION

This device is intended for straightening human hair. Do not use this device on animals.
The device could produce different results on different hair types. First test the device on an area of hair that is relatively
concealed.
It is not recommended to use the hair straightener on damaged or bleached hair.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read this instruction manual thoroughly prior to using this device.
2.
If you pass on the device to a third party, please include this instruction manual as well.
3.
This device complies with technical norms and safety requirements for electric devices.

The manufacturer is not responsible for damages caused by improper use or non-observance of this instruction
manual.
5.
Prior to first use, make sure that your type of current and power supply correspond to the information on the label.
6.
The hair straightener must be turned off after every use.
7.
Keep children away from this device.
8.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or by those with a lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
9.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
10.
Use this device solely for its intended purpose.
11.
DANGER TO LIFE! Do not submerge the device in water or in any other liquid!
12.
Should the device fall into water, first pull the plug out of the power socket before you reach into
the water.
13.
Caution! Do not use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing
water. Proximity of water is dangerous also when the device is switched off but the power plug is
still connected to the socket. Do not touch the power plug with wet or moist hands.
14.
Do not use this device in the bathroom.
15.
Additional protection can be attained by installing a residual current protection device in the house with a rated
residual operating current that does not exceed 30 mA. Consult your electrician for further information.
16.
Never touch the power plug with wet or damp hands.
17.
CAUTION! This device is supplied with power as long as it is still connected to the power supply.
18.
Never carry the hair straightener by its power cord.
19.
Do not place or store the device near or on top of hot surfaces. Always place the device on a flat and solid surface
that is out of reach of children and the mentally handicapped.
20.
Do not use the hair straightener if the device itself or the power cord has visible damages or if it has been dropped.
In case of damages or malfunctions, disconnect the power plug immediately.
21.
DANGER OF ELECTROCUTION! Never attempt to repair this device yourself. In case of malfunctions, have the
device repaired by qualified professionals only. Do not open the housing yourself under any circumstances.

DANGER OF ELECTROCUTION! Do not insert foreign objects inside the device.
23.
Prevent damage to the power cord by not squeezing, bending or rubbing it on sharp edges. Keep the cord away from
hot surfaces.
24.
Do not pull on the power cord when disconnecting the plug from the power socket. Do not wrap the power cord
around the device. Inspect the power plug and cord regularly.
25.
If the power cord of this device has been damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, the manufacturer's
customer service or by a similarly qualified person in order to prevent hazards.
26.
Should the cable be twisted or knotted together, please unwind it and take out the knots immediately.
27.
Lay the power cord out in such as way that accidentally pulling on it or tripping over it will not be possible.
28.
When using an extension cord, make sure it is suitable to the corresponding power rating.
29.
Disconnect the power plug after each use and prior to cleaning the device.
30.
Do not leave the device unattended as long as it is in operation or plugged in to a power socket.

DANGER OF BURNS! Some parts of the device become very hot during operation. Only touch the
handles and the switch. Avoid all contact with ears, eyes, face and neck.

Never touch the heating elements.
33.
Do not use any accessories that were not included with delivery nor recommended by the manufacturer.
34.
This device is not suitable for commercial or outdoor use.
35.
Do not use this device while barefoot.
36.
Do not use the device when you are tired or if there is a possibility that you might fall asleep.
37.
Let the device cool down completely before storing it.
38.
Keep all openings on the device clean at all times. Do not insert foreign objects into any of the openings.
39.
This device should not be operated with an external clock timer or a separate remote control system.
