A big megaphone of especially high degree of efficiency. The microphone provided for close talking can be taken off, the
megaphone can stand by itself or be screwed on a stand.
The strong output power is obtained with internal mono cells (Alkaline) or an external power supply.
SETTING INTO OPERATION
The power supply
The unit is operated with batteries to be inserted or with an
external power supply.
Inserting of batteries
1. Loosen the locking clip (1) and open the rear cover (2).
2. Insert 10 mono cells 1,5 V (UM-1) while watching the
correct polarity.
3. Close the cover and fasten the locking clip again.
EXTERNAL POWER SUPPLY
As an external power supply a 12 V car battery may be
used. For this the supplied battery cable is connected
to the cigarette lighter socket of the car.
Another 12 V battery or a power supply which
provides 12 - 16 V DC voltage with a current capa-
bility of at least 3 A may also be used.
In this case remove the cigarette lighter plug at
the battery cable and fix the cable or provide it
with suitable plugs.
OPERATION
1. Connect the plug of the supplied microphone
with the microphone jack (3) at the megaphone
and tighten the clamping nut.
2. Push the talk switch (5) at the microphone and watch
the LED (4) now lighting there.
The talk switch can be locked in pushed condition by sli-
ding it upwards.
3. With the control (8) at the microphone the requested
volume is adjusted whereby no howling should occur.
4. Speak as closely as possible into the talk opening (6) of
the microphone.
5. The microphone can be operated at a certain distance
away from the megaphone. For this the cable extension
is inserted between microphone jack (3) and micropho-
ne plug.

MEGAPHONE
PLEASE NOTE:
1. The supplied microphone is provided for close talking
and has a correspondingly good suppression of the back-
ground noise. Always speak close to the microphone, a
distance of 1 - 2 cm is recommended.
Do not cover the opening of the background noise com-
pensation (7) at the microphone with the fingers or
palm of your hand.
2. Never use the megaphone near the ears of another per-
son. Due to the amplified voice or a howling, damage
may be caused to the ears of another person.
3. Keep the power consumption low, only push the talk
4. Remove the dry
batteries out of
the megaphone
if it is not used
for a long time.
5. If a 12 V car battery is used to operate the megaphone,
this battery must be connected in such a way that its
negative pole is connected with ground (the usual
method in general).
Do not connect the megaphone to a 6 V, a 24 V battery
or to a 12 V battery with the positive pole connected
with ground because this might cause difficulties.
6. Protect the megaphone from longer sun radiation and
do not place it near a heating system or in humid envi-
ronment.
7. Only clean the megaphone with a neutral cleaner, do
not use colour thinner, fuel, or similar.
switch if required. If the talk switch (5) is
locked, do not forget to release it
after talking.
