2. Notes on these instructions for use

These instructions for use are intended for trained nursing staff or persons who commission
and operate this product.
A prerequisite for handling this product is precise knowledge and observation of
!
these instructions for use. They should therefore be stored carefully until the pro-
duct is disposed of. To avoid operating errors and to guarantee smooth operation,
the instructions for use must be available to operating personnel at all times. It is
recommended to keep them within reach of the product.
The texts and graphical representations in these instructions for use do not necessarily cor-
respond to the scope of delivery, as they are designed for all variations of the model ranges.
The drawings and graphics are not to scale.

3. Safety instructions and residual risks

1. These usage instructions must be read and observed before the product is used.
2. The details on the nameplate and the notes on the stickers must be observed.
3. The bedside cabinet may not be operated in the event of malfunctions that could pose a
risk to persons, staff or third parties.
4. Before operating the product, the user must verify the functional safety and proper conditi-
on of the bedside cabinet.
5. If the bedside cabinet is in use, the castor brakes must always be applied, otherwise there
is a risk of the patient falling when he/she wants to support him/herself on it.
6. The height of the tray must be adjusted to the size of the patient.
7. Do not load the tray with more than 15 kg.
8. Under no circumstances may the tray be used as a support.
9. When setting up the product in the room provided, safe distances must be maintained
from the walls, window sills and other objects. The safe distances depend on the confi-
guration and model of the product and are determined by maintaining at least 25 mm of
space for fingers for extreme height adjustment and tilting movements.
