1 Introduction
PowerXtreme is a professional manufacture of prismatic LiFePO4 Lithium cells. Battery packs are assembled using
these cells. A lightweight body has been selected for the PowerXtreme X20/X30 where the cells, charger and
battery management have been incorporated into 1 product.
The aim of this lightweight battery is the offering of a comfortable solution for the user of a caravan mover with a
limited load of 30 Ah and with a very limited weight. This battery is able to deliver high currents, is light weight and
therefore very well suited to this purpose.

Installation

The following information is important for the installation of this battery.
 Fit the battery in the caravan using the supplied mounting kit.
 Connect the battery's negative pole to the negative connector on the caravan mover unit.
 Connect the battery's positive pole to the positive connector on the caravan mover unit.
 Use cabling as described in your caravan mover manual. It is advised to use at least 16 mm2. Use a red
for the + and a black cable for the –

3 Use
The battery has more than enough charge to perform one movement action of the caravan. The mover can be used
up to 50 minutes during heavy use (35 A continuous). In extreme use (100 A) the mover can be used for up to
approximately18 minutes. It is advised to re-charge the battery after every action for the following placement.
The battery is suitable for enabling (approx. 10 sec) brief very high currents in order to get over a threshold or any
other obstacle. If done for a longer period the battery will automatically switch off and will need to reset itself.
Because the battery is made from a Lithium LiFePO4 chemistry, it is possible to completely discharge the battery
unlike lead acid batteries. Once the battery is empty it will switch itself off and will then need to be recharged for the
next use. Charging takes place through a charger cable to mains connection.
Optionally available is a charger (PowerCharger XC3) which uses the car voltage to slowly charge the battery
whilst driving, without the need to install thick cabling.
Should you wish to store the battery for a longer period then it is strongly advised to disconnect the battery poles to
ensure stand-by mode doesn't cause the battery to run down. Also make sure that the battery is not connected to
the mains as charging cannot take place in temperatures under 0°C. Due to its very low self-discharge rate the
battery can be stored in this way for up to 1 year.
