Device-specific safety instructions
• Never direct the vacuum pipe towards yourself or
others in order to clean clothes or shoes.
• Never use the pleated filter or dust bag for wet
vacuuming.
• Never vacuum objects which contain materials
injurious to health (e. g. asbestos).
• Never vacuum up liquids containing solvents,
acetone, undiluted acids, solvents, or fuels! The
exhaust air from vacuuming such materials is
seriously dangerous to health and may be explo-
sive.
• Take care when vacuuming varnished and
smooth surfaces, so as to avoid damage.
• When disposing of dirty water that has been vac-
uumed, the legal requirements must be complied
with.
• Never block the float in the appliance's filter bas-
ket.
• Use only extension cables, make sure they are
suitable for the product and the environment.
• Remember that moving parts may also be
located behind ventilation and venting slots.
• Symbols appearing on your device may not be
removed or covered. Signs on the device that are
no longer legible must be replaced immediately.

before using the product for the first time.
Only re-charge the battery pack indoors.
Do not dispose of a battery pack with the
household waste!

Setting up

Installing the castors
► P. 4, item 4
– Release locking lever (6) and remove motor unit.
– Stand the appliance on its head.
– Insert the castors (8) in the holes provided, and
let them engage.
Insert the dust bag
► P. 4, item 5
– Push the dust bag (10) onto the nozzle.
Inserting the foam filter
► P. 4, item 6
– Draw the foam filter (14) over the filter basket.
The foam filter must be pushed on completely.
Fitting the vacuum pipe and heads
– Insert the vacuum pipe into the handle of the vac-
uum hose.
– Attach the desired vacuum head.
Installing the vacuum hose
– Insert the locking sleeve of the vacuum hose into
the vacuum nozzle (9).
– Fix the bayonet lock by briefly turning in counter-
clockwise direction.

Using for the first time

Charging the battery pack
WARNING! Risk of injury! Comply with all
safety instructions when handling recharge-
able devices.
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the unit! Do
not allow the battery pack to deep discharge.
Note: If the battery is fully loaded, the
charger automatically switches over to the
maintenance charge function. The battery
can thus remain in the charger permanently.
The battery pack must be charged prior to the first
start-up (charging time: ► Technical data – p. 24).
