Remote Stop User Guide
Power supply
The receiver built into the wheelchair is connected
to the wheelchair's main batteries. The Remote Stop
increases the consumption of standby power. You
should charge the batteries at least once a month.
By regularly charging the wheelchair batteries, you
ensure that the receiver is always supplied with
enough power.
Advice
The receiver will not work if the wheelchair battery
is empty. In that case, you should recharge the
wheelchair battery with the supplied wheelchair
battery charger.
The hand-held transmitter runs
on a CR 2032 battery. If the hand-
held transmitter is not working
(properly), it means that the battery
is empty and needs to be replaced.
• Open the back of the hand-held
transmitter
• Slide the CR 2032 battery from
under the holder
• Insert a charged CR 2032 battery
and close the housing
Empty batteries must be handed in at a special
battery recycling collection point. Do not combine
different types of batteries. Do not combine old and
new batteries.
Transmitter range
The transmission range of the Remote Stop depends
on the operating environment. Before you start using
the Remote Stop, test the distance at which the
wheelchair can be switched off. Remember that the
range can be less indoors than outdoors.

Storage
If the electric wheelchair with the Remote Stop
Module is not being used for a longer period (but less
than 1 month):
-
Make sure that the wheelchair hasn't been
switched off with the Remote Stop Module
-
Check the display of the wheelchair controller to
make sure that the wheelchair has been unblocked.
If it has been unblocked, the red tortoise icon will
not be displayed.
-
On the wheelchair controller, press the ON/OFF
button to switch off the wheelchair. The display
will switch off.
Advice
When first using an electric wheelchair that has been
stored for a long period, you may need to recharge
the wheelchair batteries. Use the supplied wheelchair
battery charger to do this.
If you want to store the wheelchair for longer than
1 month, we recommend that you disconnect the
battery from the wheelchair. For instructions on how
to do this, see the wheelchair user guide.
Programming the hand-held transmitter
To connect a new hand-held transmitter to an existing
receiver, the following steps need to be taken. You
should ask an authorised dealer to do this for you.
Storing the transmitter code:
Remove the lid of the receiver housing (this may
be built into the wheelchair)
Programme the hand-held transmitter code on
Channel 1
Press the CH1 button for approximately 3 seconds
until the LED starts blinking
Press the desired button on the hand-held
transmitter within 10 seconds
After the receiver has stored the transmitter code,
the LED stays on until you release the transmitter
button
Repeat the previous 3 steps for the second button
on the handheld transmitter so that it has the
same function as the first button
Put the lid back on the housing
