Motion sensor for TLC200

Intended use
The motion sensor for the TLC200 time lapse camera automatically turns on the camera to take pictures
when motion is detected. After switching on the camera, ten pictures will be taken and saved in AVI format.
Thus, viewing the pictures is very easy. You can capture any moment without even being present. The
camera can be used as a security camera at home or you can watch e.g. timid wild animals. The recording
is activated by motions.
Any use other than that described above is not permitted and can damage the product.

Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe these safety
instructions! We do not assume any liability for damage to property and injury to persons
caused by mishandling or non-compliance with the safety instructions! In such cases,
the warranty will be null and void.
General safety instructions
• For safety and approval (CE) reasons, unauthorised conversion and/or modifi cation of the product are not
permitted.
• Do not expose the product to high temperatures, strong vibrations or heavy mechanical loads.
• Handle the product with care; it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental falls, even from a low
height.
• If you have any doubts about the correct operation, or the safety of the product, please consult a specialist.
• This product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children. Only use the product out of the
reach of children. Small parts of the product could be swallowed.
• Condensation may form when the product is brought from a cold room into a warm one. Therefore, wait
until it has reached room temperature before using it.
• Do not leave packaging materials unattended. It may become a dangerous plaything for children.
• Please observe the additional safety instructions in the individual chapters of this manual.

Installation on the TLC time lapse camera
• Remove the protective foil on the back of the metal ring provided (fi g. 1)
• Clean the lens of the time lapse camera and make sure there is no more dust on the surface of the lens
• Place the metal ring onto the lens edge and carefully press it down (fi g. 2)
• There is a magnet on the motion sensor (1). You can now attach the motion sensor to the metal ring on the
lens of the time lapse camera (fi g. 3)
• Connect the motion sensor's plug (3) to the "extension port" of the exterior compartment on the TLC200
time lapse camera (fi g. 4)

Operation
• Switch on the TLC200 time lapse camera at the "OK/Start" rotary knob
• "o.k" appears on the display of the TLC200 time lapse camera (fi g. 5)
• Press the "OK/Start" button to access the preview (fi g.6)

• Press the "OK/Start" button again for approx. 1 second
• The LCD screen switches off and the time lapse camera takes pictures when motion is detected
During the recording time, the LCD screen of the time lapse camera switches off in order to save
power.
• A green LED light on the TLC200 time lapse camera indicates that the image capturing is in process. The
green LED fl ashes to indicate that the motion detector is activated and the camera is capturing pictures
If the LED light on the time lapse camera lights red, this means the memory
card is full or the batteries are empty. When the SD memory card is full, the
time lapse camera stops the image capturing. Please insert a new, empty
SD memory card to continue the recording.
Installation on the weather protection housing
• Switch on the TLC200 time lapse camera at the "OK/Start" rotary knob
• Open the rubber cover of the "extension port" on the time lapse camera and place it into the storage loca-
tion intended for this purpose
• Place the time lapse camera in the weather protection housing and make sure that the waterproof rubber
seal is correctly inserted
• Close the fl ap of the weather protection housing and lock the closures above and below by hanging the
wire bracket on the hook of the fl ap and then pressing the closure downward
• Remove the motion sensor from the magnetic holder (fi g. 7)
• Push the motion sensor along the upper side of the weather protection housing into the holder (fi g. 8)
intended for this purpose
• Connect the motion sensor's plug (3) via the opening of the weather protection housing to the "extension
port" of the exterior compartment on the TLC200 time lapse camera (fi g. 9)

Operation
Proceed further with the steps 2 to 5 as described in the operation above.
Please note that bright sunlight, storm and quickly moving clouds may incorrectly trigger the
motion sensor. Ventilators, car exhaust fumes, air fl ows or refl ecting surfaces, such as mirrors or
glass, may also cause the camera to activate. Please keep your time lapse camera with motion
sensor away from this type of environment.
Maintenance and Care
This device is maintenance-free. Only clean the exterior with a soft, dry cloth or a brush.
Never use caustic cleaning agents or chemical solutions, as they could damage the surface of the casing.
