1 GENERAl DESCRIPTION OF ThE TPh ClONER

the trs has been designed for use in any of the following 3 modes (each
of them offers different sorts of functions).
1. TRS ON ITS OWN.
this covers general recognition of transponders (Fixed/encrypted), as
well as cloning of fixed transponders and also fixed texas transponders
on tPX1.
2. TRS + TPX ClONER/TPh ClONER.
the unit is linked via serial line.
this covers general recognition of transponders (Fixed/encrypted), cloning
of fixed transponders and fixed texas transponders on tPX1, as well as
cloning of texas encrypted or Philips crypto depending on whether you
select the tPX cloner or the tPh cloner respectively.
3. TRS + TPX ClONER + TPh ClONER.
also linked by a serial line with a mesh network topology.
this therefore covers general recognition of transponders (Fixed/crypto),
cloning of fixed transponders and fixed texas transponders on tPX1, as
well as cloning of both texas encrypted and Philips crypto.
Rev.3.0 does not yet include transponder co-
pying via PC software. Copies can only be
made in stand-alone mode.

IMPORTANT NOTICE!

Before handing over the copy to the customer,
unlock the car with the copied key and if all
the doors unlock, check that they all lock as
well.
We have detected that on some vehicles when
you unlock the car all the doors unlock, but
that when you lock it only the door in which
you have inserted the key locks.
2 UPDATING ThE FIRMWARE FOR USE WITh ThE
TPh ClONER
to use the tPh cloner, you must update the trs5000 firmware. to do this,
proceed as follows:
• Turn on the TRS5000, either on its own or connected to one of the di-
fferent cloners.
•Then connect the TRS5000 to the PC Software, using the USB cable type
a-b. (the following message will appear on the display).

• In the OPTIONS menu, under Parameters, press the Reload Comm Por
list button, which will load in the communication Port fold-down menu,
the new usb virtual port generated by the trs5000.
• Depending on the programs you have installed and the default ports
they use, a different port will be assigned. in the example it is coM5, but it
could be a different port. (all with a usb symbol on the left):

• Finally, press the Start Communication button to establish communica-
tion via usb with the trs5000.
once communication has been established with the trs5000, (you can
check this by looking if the coM led in the bottom left-hand corner of the
program is "green"), proceed to download the file trs53xx.bin, from the
location where it is to be found: cd, Pen-drive, hard disk, JMa website,
etc.
to carry out this download, in the same oPtions menu, under update
program, press the File button (loads the firmware version from its lo-
cation) and finally select the send option, which will have been enabled
automatically, to update the trs for use with the tPh cloner
each time the firmware is updated, you will normally have to download
the text file associated with each new version, which is downloaded in a
similar way to the program described above. in oPtions , under langua-
ges, press the File button (loads the text version from its location) and
finally select send.
The TPh Cloner cannot be used with any
TRS5000 with a firmware version lower than
Rev. 3.0.
3 CONNECTION DIAGRAM FOR TPh-ClONER +
TRS5000
You need the following items to connect the tPh-cloner to the trs-5000:
1)
220Vac/12Vdc power supply included with the trs5000.
2)
serial communication cable (Male-Male) db9 for data connection bet-
ween the trs5000 and the tPh cloner. (see note 1).
3)
dc/dc power cable to connect the tPh-cloner to the trs5000.
