Fitting a battery
• To fit a charged Battery (7), slide the Battery onto the Handle (6) until the Battery clicks and locks into
position (Image B)
Note: Ensure the Battery and nailer are lined up correctly. If the Battery does not slide into the nailer easily, do
not force it. Instead, slide the Battery out of the handle, check that the top of the Battery and the nailer battery
slot are clean and undamaged, and that the contacts are not bent.
Setting up the battery charger
IMPORTANT: Battery packs for this tool are shipped in a low-charge conditions to prevent possible problems.
Batteries will need charging before use.
1. Ensure the Battery Charger (18) has no Battery connected. Remove the Battery, if fitted
2. Insert the Battery Charger mains plug into a suitable mains socket
Note: The Green LED (19) on the Battery Charger will flash to indicate that the charger is ready to charge
the Battery.
WARNING: Use this charger ONLY to charge the supplied battery or additional purchased batteries that are
specifically designed for this tool.
WARNING: The charger is designed for indoor use only, and MUST NOT be used in damp or wet conditions.
Charging the battery
WARNING: Failure to follow the correct procedure when charging batteries will result in permanent
damage.
Note: Normal charging time is approximately 1 hour for a recently discharged 3.0Ah capacity battery.
However, if the Battery (7) has been left in a discharge state for some time, it may take additional time to
charge.
Note: If battery is connected to the tool, remove it. (See 'Removing a battery'.)
1. Slide a fully or partially discharged Battery on to the Battery Charger (18)
Note: Ensure the Battery and Battery Charger are lined up correctly. If the Battery does not slide on to the
Battery Charger easily, do not force it. Instead, slide the Battery out, check that the top of the Battery and the
Battery Charger's battery slot are clean and undamaged, and that the contacts are not bent.
2. Once charging commences, the Red LED (17) will illuminate
3. When the Battery is fully charged, the Green LED (19) will illuminate
Battery Charge Level:
• The LED Indicator (12) (Image A) on the nailer will illuminate red when the connected battery has a low
charge. Remove battery and charge before reuse
• The Battery has a built-in Charge Indicator (16) (Fig. I). Pressing the button will indicate the charge level.
The right LED indicates a high charge level, and the left LED indicates a low charge level, which means the
Battery requires charging
IMPORTANT: When a low charge level is indicated, the tool may stop operating while in use. In some
instances this may be dangerous. Always ensure the battery pack has a good charge level.
Notes about battery charging
• The battery should be charged at ambient temperatures between 10–40°C (ideally around 20°C)
• After charging, allow 15 minutes for the battery to cool before use
• Ensure that the charger is disconnected from the mains supply after use, and is stored correctly
• DO NOT leave batteries on charge for extended periods and NEVER store batteries on charge
• The Battery Charger monitors battery temperature and voltage while charging. Remove the battery once
charging has been completed to maximise charge cycles of the battery and nor waste power
• Batteries can become faulty over time, individual cells in the battery can fail and the battery could short.
The charger will not charge faulty batteries. Use another battery, if possible, to check correct functionality
of the of the charger and purchase a replacement battery if a faulty battery is indicated
• DO NOT store Lithium-ion battery packs in a discharged state long term. This can damage the Lithium-ion
cells. For long-term storage, store batteries in a high charge state, disconnected from the power Tool
• The capacity of batteries will reduce over time. After 100 charge cycles, the battery's operation time and
the maximum torque performance of the drill will slightly reduce. This decline will continue until the battery
has minimal capacity after 500 charge cycles. This is normal and not a fault with the battery pack
• A battery that is new or has not been used for a longer period does not develop its full capacity until after
approximately 5 charge/discharge cycles
LED Indicator
The LED Indicator (12) displays functions status of the tool (Image A):
• Red Flashing LED = jam (see 'Removing a jammed nail or staple')
• Red LED = low battery (see 'Charging the battery')
• Green LED = no nails (see 'Inserting nails or staples into the magazine')
LED lighting
• The nailer features LED Lighting (13) on both sides
• To turn ON LEDs, ensure a charged battery is installed on the tool then press the LED Lighting Switch (5)
Checking the safety contact pin mechanism
1. Ensure ALL nails/staples are removed from the tool and magazine
2. Press the Safety Contact Pin (1) and pull the Trigger (4); both should move freely
3. Load nails/staples into the magazine
WARNING: DO NOT use the tool if the Safety Contact Pin cannot move freely.
4. Place the Safety Contact Pin on the workpiece and press the tool without pulling the Trigger; the tool
should NOT fire
5. Remove the tool from the workpiece; the Contact Safety Pin should spring back automatically
6. Pull the Trigger; the tool should NOT fire
Inserting nails or staples into the magazine
WARNING: ALWAYS remove the Battery before inserting nails or staples into the magazine.
Note: Only use nails/staples of a compatible size with the tool. (See 'Specifications' and Fig. II)
Note: The number of nails/staples left in the magazine can be seen using the view window.
1. Remove the Battery (7) from the tool if fitted
2. Press the Magazine Lock/Release Latch (10) and pull the magazine open
3. Tilt the tool and place the nails/staples into the magazine channel
• Nails must be placed against the profiled side of the rail with point of the nails facing downwards
(Image D)
• Staples must be placed against the profiled side of the rail with the crown of the staple in the uppermost
part of the magazine and the legs are facing away from the tool body (Image E)
4. Ensure the nails/staples are place correctly:
5. Close the magazine cover until the Magazine Lock/Release Latch engages and locks the cover in place
6. A Battery can be reattached and the tool will be ready for use
WARNING: Never insert fasteners of different length into the magazine. Never insert nails and staples
mixed together in the magazine.

Operation

Note: Prior to operation, ensure the Battery (7) is fully charged and that the chosen fasteners are inserted into
the magazine correctly.
Selecting firing mode
Single Firing mode:
• 'Single Firing' mode is best for precision placement (Image F)
• Slide the Single/Contact Firing Selector (9) to the left (Image G)
Contact Firing mode:
• 'Contact Firing' mode is best for quicker nailing/stapling applications
• Slide the Single/Contact Firing Selector to the right (Image J)
Adjusting the nail/staple depth
The LED Indicator (12) displays functions status of the tool (Image A):
1. Rotate the Depth Adjustment Wheel (2) (Image M) to adjust the nail/staple depth
