Operation
• To measure the voltage, connect the 20/24-pin connector on the power adapter (24-pin EATXPWR) to a
socket on the tester.
• Plug the power adapter into a mains socket and turn it on if necessary.
• The tester will not turn on if the power adapter is not working.
• If there is a sufficient voltage, the display on the tester will turn on and you will hear a number of beeps.
The tester will beep twice when it turns on.
• The required ATX standard voltages will be shown at the top of the LCD display for comparison. The
voltages delivered by the power adapter will be displayed underneath.
• If one or more of the connected voltages does not meet the required parameters, the tester will beep at
regular intervals and the non-standard parameter (voltage and Power Good value) will blink on the LCD
display.
• 'HH' indicates that the voltage is too high; 'LL' indicates that the voltage is too low.
• Insert up to two EATX12V mainboard connectors (8-pin dual CPU) into the socket on the tester. Pay
attention to the pin markings on the left-hand side of the tester to ensure that you use the correct socket.
• To test a peripheral device, insert the connector on the device into the corresponding socket. The tester
supports the following types of connector: Floppy, HDD, CD-ROM drive and SATA, 4-pin (P4), 6-pin PCI-
Express.
• Test peripheral devices one by one. Remove the connector after testing each device, as the tester cannot
distinguish between two different voltages.
• The +12V, +3.3V and +5V LEDs will turn on when the correct voltage is connected.
• For example, if you connect a molex plug, the +5V (red cable) and +12V (yellow cable) LEDs will turn on
when the correct voltage is connected. If you insert a SATA connector, all three LEDs (including the +3.3V
LED (orange cable)) will turn on.
