Intended Use
The programming card is used to programme a speed controller. Programming the speed controller enables
you to adjust your model's driving characteristics to your personal habits.
This product complies with the statutory national and European requirements. All company names and product

Safety Information
The guarantee/warranty will expire if damage is incurred resulting from non-compliance
with the operating instructions! We do not assume any liability for consequential damage!
We do not assume any liability for property damage and personal injury caused by
improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions! In such cases the warranty/
guarantee is voided.
• The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the product is prohibited for safety and approval
reasons (CE). Never disassemble the product. There are no components inside the casing that need to be
adjusted or serviced by you. Furthermore, this will render the guarantee/warranty void!
• The product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children!
• The programming card must not become damp or wet.
• Do not leave packaging material unattended. It may become a dangerous toy for children.

Programming
The programming card enables simple programming of various speed controller settings. There are two plug
options on the programming card front. The left socket serves external voltage supply of 5 to 6.3 V/DC, if the
speed controller to be programmed does not have any BEC system. The right socket is intended for connection
of the speed controller.
Observe correct polarity when connecting it. For this, observe the marks on the programming card casing.
Proceed as follows to programme the speed controller:
• Switch off the speed controller.
• Connect the servo plug with the programming card, observe correct polarity of the servo plug: (black =
minus/-).
The programming card is usually supplied with power by a so-called BEC system that is integrated
in the speed controller.
If the speed controller to be programmed does not have this BEC system, the programming card
has to be additionally supplied from an external voltage source. For this, plug a suitable receiver
battery (5 to 6.3 V) into the left connection socket in addition to the speed controller servo socket.
Always observe the correct polarity.
• If the programming card is operated with external voltage, the speed controller must be switched on before
the external supply voltage.
• Connect the speed controller to the drive battery and switch on the speed controller. The indicator LED and
the left and right display indicators of the programming card light up. The left display indicates the
programming function. The right display shows the value currently stored in the speed controller.
• Use the button „Menu" to select the desired function to be changed.
• Use the button „Value" to change the menu items currently selected in the left display. The value in the right
display moves one step up each time you push the button „Value".
• Save the newly selected setting in the speed controller by pushing „OK". The programming card LED and
the LED in the speed controller flash briefly.
If you want to perform any other settings to other menu items, proceed accordingly.
• Use the button „Reset" to reset the speed controller to its basic settings (depending on the speed controller).
• After performing and saving all settings, switch off the speed controller again and disconnect it from the
battery.
Disconnect the servo plug of the speed controller from the programming card and connect it again to the
corresponding receiver connection.
Your model can now be operated with the newly programmed speed controller.
The following functions are available:
1. „Cut-off Voltage" (undervoltage detection)
Undervoltage detection is only possible for models with LiPo batteries. Activation of this function is
recommended to prevent harmful deep discharge of the rechargeable batteries. The values to be set refer
to a voltage value per battery cell.
Example: A setting of 3 V means that a 2-cell rechargeable battery would switch off the motor when
2 x 3 V = 6 V is undercut.
The following values can be set: 1 = 2.6 V; 2 = 2.8 V; 3 = 3.0 V; 4 = 3.2 V, 5 = 3.4 V; 6 = no undervoltage
protection (for NiMH/NiCd).
2. „Running Mode" (driving mode 1)
This is where you determine driving mode. 1 = forwards driving only; 2 = forwards and reverse driving
possible.
Switching from forwards to reverse driving does not happen at once, but with a break, to protect the gear,
wheels and battery capacity.
3. „Motor Timing"
This setting influences motor running characteristics (similar to the ignition time of a combustion engine).
The following options are available: 1 = very low; 2 = low; 3 = normal (recommended); 4 = high; 5 = very high.
Setting „very low" means that the motor has a little more torque as compared to the basic settings, and a little
lower maximum speed.
Setting „very high" means that the motor has a little higher maximum speed as compared to the basic
settings, and a little less torque.
In both cases, the current values change however. Therefore, also observe compliance with the motor and
speed controller specifications. Also observe the temperatures of the components named in operation.
4. „Initial Acceleration" (start-up dynamics)
This setting adjusts initial acceleration. 1 = gentle; 2 = medium; 3 = high; 4 = very high.
5. „Throttle Percent Reverse" (reverse driving speed)
This function can only be used if the speed controller is programmed for reverse driving (see function „2.
Driving mode"). Use percentages to determine the speed for reverse driving in relationship to forwards
driving. 1 = 20%; 2 = 30%; 3 = 40%; 4 = 50%; 5 = 60%; 6 = 70%; 7 = 80%; 8 = 90%; 9 = 100%. The higher
the value set, the faster you can drive backwards.
6. „Throttle Limit" (forwards driving speed)
„Throttle Limit" sets the maximum speed your vehicle should reach at full throttle. The setting „1 = 0%" means
no limitation. The setting „9 = 90%" means that maximum forwards speed is reduced by 90%. The following
settings can be made: 1 = 0%; 2 = 20%; 3= 30%; 4 = 40%; 5 = 50%; 6 = 60%; 7 = 70%; 8 = 80%; 9 = 90%.
7. „Percentage Braking" (brake control characteristics)
Here you can set the brake effect when moving the transmitter's control lever to reverse driving from forwards
driving. The higher the value set, the stronger the brake effect.
The following values are available: 1 = 10%; 2 = 20%; 3 = 30%; 4 = 40%; 5 = 50%; 6 = 60%; 7 = 70%; 8 =
80%; 9 = 100%.
8. „Percentage Drag Brake" (motor brake)
When the throttle at the transmitter is moved to the neutral position from forwards driving, the motor brake
is activated. The function corresponds to the motor braking function in a „real" car when you take your foot
off the throttle pedal. The motor brake can be programmed in seven steps. The higher the value set, the
stronger the brake effect. The following values are available: 1 = 4%; 2 = 8%; 3 = 12%; 4 = 15%; 5 = 20%;
6 = 25%; 7 = 30%.
9. „Motor Rotation" (rotating direction reversal)
This function changes the rotating direction of the motor without swapping the cables between the speed
controller and the motor: 1 = regular rotating direction, 2 = reversed rotating direction.
10. „Neutral Range"
The so-called „neutral range" setting makes it possible to set the neutral position range of the transmitter (the
section of the throttle/brake lever path to be recognised as neutral position). The lower the value set, the more
sensitive will the motor control react around the throttle lever neutral position of the transmitter. The following
values are available: 1 = 2%; 2 = 3%; 3 = 4%; 4 = 5%; 5 = 6%.

Disposal
Electric and electronic products must not be disposed of in the domestic waste!
Dispose of the product according to the applicable statutory provisions at the end of its service
life.

