I N S T R U C T I O N
If present, cut the old belt with an appropriate tool.
1 .
Apply tool to the belt pulley and adjust the
distance bolt, so that the tool lies fl at on top of
the belt pulley. (Fig. 1)
2 .
Cock the new belt, as described in corresponding
handbooks, over all rollers and fi nally, as
shown in the picture, over the tool. (Fig. 2)
3 .
Pull the multi-ribbed belt onto the crankshaft
belt pulley by turning the crankshaft. (Fig. 3)
4 .
With some Ford models the tool has to be
attached to the water pump as shown in fi g. 4 or
has to be mounted on the belt pulley of the crank
shaft as shown in fi g. 5 to mount the new belt.
