Thank you for choosing this product. Please read and follow the instructions carefully. They inform you
about all the important steps concerning assembly and handling. We recommend you to keep them for
future reference.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- The 14950 is no typical holder stand and you should NOT leave the
-
adjusted instrument unattended. In fact, it is a so-called PERFORMER
-
STAND, which brings the tuba to a certain height. When using the
-
stand, the player must hold the instrument securely (danger of tipping!)
- Always carry out a visual inspection before use; damaged components
-
should not be used
- The floor must be suitable, i.e. level and load-bearing.
- Due to the mobile parts, trapping hazards may arise, therefore careful
-
handling during assembly, operation and disassembly is
-
indispensable.
- The instrument should be placed on the support rubber base with care.
- Always remove the tuba from the support when changing height.
- The parquet protectors are made of high-quality material and are as
-
far as technically possible free from plasticisers; for the protection of
-
very sensitive floors (possibly certain types of parquet) a non-slip
-
underlay should be used if required.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. COMPONENTS
Please carry out a visual check that all parts are present
and in order - as far as recognisable
a Base (packing size: min. 505 mm)
a.1 Clamp with wing screw M6 x 11mm
b Base tube (ø 20 mm)
b.1 Clamp with wing screw M6 x 11 mm
c Extension tube (ø 16 mm) with 4 holes
c.1 Safety pin with cord (ø 6 x 65 mm)
d Tuba support (184 x 99 mm)
d.1 Bush with wing screw M6 x 9 mm
2. FOOT BASE
2.1 Loosen wing screw a.1 and...
2.2 ...pull the tripod legs apart.
2.2
Secure the desired position of the base by
2.2
tightening the wing screw (see 2.1)
2.3 NOTE
2.3.1 The stand should only rest on the three parquet
2.3.1
protectors. The base must not touch the floor
2.3.1
otherwise the stand wobbles. We recommend to
2.3.1
observe a minimum distance of 10 mm.
2.3.2 The bigger the base circle (max. ø 780 mm),
2.3.2
the higher the stability of the stand.
2.3.3 A slightly smaller base circle can be useful in case of
2.3.3
lack of space or to gain height.
2.3.3
We recommend a base circle of at least ø 480 mm.
3. EXTENSION
The extension tube can be positioned in two ways:
3.1 FIX positions (recommended for heavy tubas):
3.1.1 Open the wing screw b.1, pull up the extension tube,
3.1.2 insert the locking pin c.1 through one of the 4 holes,
3.1.3 retract the pull-out tube until the safety pin rests,
3.1.4 retighten wing screw b.1.
3.2 STEPLESS adjustment (for lightweight tubas):
3.2.1 Open the wing screw b.1 of the clamp,
3.2.2 move the extension tube to the desired position,
3.2.3 retighten wing screw b.1.
3.2.4 To prevent the "slipping" of the pull-out we recommend
3.2.4
to mount the locking pin c.1.
