Danger of injury due to electric
shock.
If it is not secured properly and cor-
rectly, the XCI adapter can fall off the
wall or machine, causing an electric
shock.
If an XCI adapter has fallen off or
been dropped, it must not be used
again. Have the XCI adapter checked
by the Miele Customer Service De-
partment. If in doubt, replace the XCI
adapter with a new one.

Mounting positions


Danger of electric shock caused
by water.
Dripping water can run into the XCI
adapter and cause an electric shock.
Make sure you comply with the
mounting positions shown in images
[4], [5] and [6b].
Wall mounting
- Mounting with the screw materials
(images [1] and [2])
To mount the XCI adapter on the wall
with the screw materials provided, you
need to open the covers of the ad-
apter. Follow the instructions in the
"Opening the XCI adapter" section.

- Mounting with the adhesive strips

Alternatively, you can use the adhes-
ive strips provided to mount the ad-
apter on the wall.
Mounting on the rear of the machine
PWM xxx DP/DV, PDR xxx EL
The XCI adapter is mounted on the
rear of the washing machine (im-
ages [4]+[5]) or the tumble dryer using
the adhesive strips (image [3]).
Mounting on the rear of the machine
PDR xxx HP
The XCI adapter is screwed into place
using 3 screws.
 Unscrew the 4 screws on the tumble
dryer cover: image [6].
 Remove the cover from the tumble
dryer.
 Screw the XCI adapter onto the cover
using the 3 screws: image [6a].
 Screw the cover, fitted with the XCI
adapter, onto the tumble dryer: image
[6b].
