Special safety instructions

Tank
Always check that the tank and gun can
cope with the supply air pressure.
Always assemble the tank correctly.
Never under any circumstances drill or weld
the tank!
Always clean the tank after use, as dirt
and paint particles can block valves, pipes
and hoses, causing pressure in the tank to
increase.
Never allow the safety valve to become
blocked. Do not adjust or prevent it from
working. Check safety valve before use to
ensure correct function.
NEVER remove the lid while the tank is
under pressure! Always disconnect air
supply to tank, bleed pressure from the
system by pressing the ring on the safety
valve before removing lid.
Reactive chemicals (e.g. acids, alkali or
halogenated hydrocarbons) can destroy the
seal around the lid, the safety valve gasket
and inside of the tank, and must therefore
not be used.
Chlorinated solvents can explode in contact
with the aluminium parts of the tank and
must therefore not be used. Always read
the product declaration of paints, varnishes
and cleaning agents used and contact the
manufacturer or dealer if in doubt.
Never overtighten the four screw clamps.
Tighten them by hand only.
Spray gun
Never use the spray gun in the vicinity of
open ame or hot objects, as most types of
paint and varnish or highly ammable.
Never spray directly at people or animals.
Follow all safety instructions for the paint
used, and pay particular attention to
instructions concerning personal protection
and working area.
Compressed air supply
Compressors and compressed air tools
can be dangerous if operated incorrectly.
Always observe the compressor
manufacturer's safety instructions!
Always be aware of the location of the hose.
Sudden changes in pressure in the hose
can cause it to move with suffi cient force to
knock over people and objects, which can
cause injury or damage. Always ensure the
hose does not lie in a place where you could
easily trip over it.
Do not allow the compressed air hose to
come into contact with sharp edges, heat
and oil.
Never lift or carry the spray gun by its hose.
Always grip the tool itself.
Check the air supply, all hoses, connections,
nipples and adapters and that clean air
is being supplied at the correct pressure
before use. Do NOT use the air supply if
this is not the case. Never use any other
pressurized gas sources, such as oxygen or
acetylene.
Disconnect the spray gun from the air hose
and bleed pressure from the tank when the
equipment is not in use.
Bleeding pressure from tank
ALWAYS bleed pressure from the tank
before removing lid and when the
equipment is not in use. Bleed pressure as
follows:
Switch off air supply
Pull safety valve ring (7) gently. Compressed
air will bleed from the valve. Hold ring out
until air ow ceases.
Lid can now be opened.
