OVERVIEW

You have purchased our Class III personal protective equipment (PPE) for protection against risk of serious injury

and fatality, and we thank you for placing your trust in. In order to ensure your complete satisfaction with this

product, you must, BEFORE EACH USE, follow the instructions in this manual.

This manual covers the RG300 Automatic Rope grab device for working at heights.

Working at heights is dangerous and can cause serious accidents and injuries. We remind you that you are per-

sonally liable in case of an accident, injury or fatality either to yourself or to a third party during or following use

of one of our products.

WARNING:

We recommend you to read these instructions prior to each use. Additionally, the manufacturer or its represent-

ative assumes no liability for use, storage or maintenance performed in manner other than described in these

instructions.

Warranty cover provided under the product warranty is also subject to compliance with the manufacturer's in-

structions. Failure to comply will result in the warranty being voided. This warranty is given to only one purchaser

of the product from the manufacturer, unless otherwise stipulated to the contrary by contractual provisions ap-

proved by the manufacturer.

IF THE PURCHASER IS NOT THE USER, HE MUST PASS ON THESE INSTRUCTIONS TO THE ACTUAL END USER.

WHENEVER POSSIBLE, IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT PPE IS PERSONALLY ASSIGNED TO A SINGLE

USER.

IF THE PRODUCT IS SOLD OUTSIDE THE FIRST COUNTRY OF DESTINATION, FOR THE SAFETY OF THE USER,

THE DEALER MUST ENSURE THAT THE PRODUCT IS COMPLIANT WITH THE LAWS APPLICABLE IN THAT

COUNTRY AND PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE PRODUCT IN THE APPROPRIATE LANGUAGE, COVERING

ALL THE REQUIREMENTS OF EN 353-2:2002 and PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425.

PRODUCT COMPATIBILITY WITH OTHER PPE (HARNESSES, ANCHORS AND CONNECTING DEVICES):

ENSURE THAT THE PPE YOU HAVE PURCHASED IS COMPATIBLE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF OTHER

FALL ARREST SYSTEM COMPONENTS AND THAT THEIR SAFETY FUNCTIONS DO NOT INTERFERE WITH ONE

ANOTHER.

A full body harness must be the only appropriate device for holding the body. It must comply with EN 361.

TRAINING

The use of our products is restricted to competent persons having undergone appropriate training (provided by an

authorized person or organization) or under the supervision of a competent supervisor.

The completion of this training must be recorded by the issue of a course certificate showing the date, location,

name and company of the training organization, the full name of the user, etc.

Make yourself familiar with this PPE and ensure you have fully understood how it works (see chapter 7 - USE).

Anyone performing work at heights should be in good physical condition. Certain medical conditions (medication,

cardiovascular condition, etc.) may impair safety of the user during normal use of the PPE. If in doubt, check with

your doctor.

COMPLIANCE WITH THE EUROPEAN STANDARD

The RG300 Automatic Rope grab is in conformity with following legislation:

• EN 353-2:2002 Personal protective equipment against falls from a height – Part 2: Guided type fall arresters

including a flexible anchor line. Including Optional conditioning to dust.

• Edge tested PPE-R/11.075 version 1

• Tested with 140kg weight PPE-R/11.062 version 1
