PLACING & RECEIVING A CALL
The AP-2 automatically handles hook switch control so there is
no longer any need to remove/replace the handset when placing/
answering a call. The AP-2 also ensures that ringing indication is
heard in the headset for an incoming call.
The answer/end button on the headset changes just the phone
hookswitch status. Note: There is a small delay between pressing
the headset button and the call being answered or ended on the
phone. When you press the talk button or dock the headset in the
base to end a call, the phone hookswitch status changes and the
link is dropped. The AP-2 then automatically re-instates the link
so there is always a link between base and headset even when the
headset is docked in the base.
When returning the headset to the base it should be noted that this
will cause the phone to change hookswitch status. This means, to
end a call, the headset can be returned to the base and there is no
requirement to press the headset button.
Once returned to the base at the end of the day, the user will need
to ensure that the phone is on hook, if not this can be done by
pressing the "release" button on the phone.
To transfer a call from the telephone handset to the
wireless headset:
1. Place the call on hold (at the telephone)
2. Press the talk button on the headset or adapter
3. Replace the handset

4. Take the call off hold (at the telephone)
5. Please be aware if the headset is out of range for greater than
10 minutes or the battery is allowed to fully discharge the AP-2
will cause the phone hookswitch status to change state
WARRANTY & SERVICE
Plantronics guarantees the satisfactory condition of the equipment
with regard to manufacturing and material defect for 2 years from
the date of purchase (Please retain the original receipt).
This product should be installed and used in accordance with the
instructions detailed in this user guide. Failure to comply with
these conditions may render the warranty void.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
