Never lay cables over sharp edges; always
use edge protectors.
Do not lay cables in the vicinity of equipment
whose temperature exceeds 50°C.
Minimum distance from cables with 230 V~
mains voltage: > 10 cm.
The correct power supply (12 V) from the to-
wing vehicle is also essential for the proper
function of the ATC.
ATC lock-out circuit
ATC lock-out circuit
For flawless operation of the ATC in the
case of caravans with independent 12 V
power supply (e.g. on-board battery, au-
tonomous battery pack), a lock-out cir-
cuit must be installed between the distri-
butor box of the caravan and the ATC.

Install LED
On overrun devices without plastic cover
1. Mount LED on LED holder.
2. Loosen hexagon nut of overrun device and
push in LED holder.
3. Tighten the hexagon nut again.
Tightening torque: 86 Nm.
On overrun devices with plastic cover
1. Remove jockey wheel from the overrun de-
vice.
2. Remove plastic cover, turn over and insert re-
taining plate in exactly this position (Figure
18).
3. Mark positions of the bores.
4. Remove retaining plate and drill bores in the
plastic cover (Figure 19).
5. Insert LED through bore Ø13.5 mm and install
retaining plate (Figure 20).
6. Screw retaining plate to cover (Figure 21).

1. Connect ATC cable to ATC.
2. Route free cable end to distributor box of the
13-pin trailer plug.
3. Connect ATC earth cable (5) to terminal of the
earth distributor of trailer cable (1).
CAUTION!
Earth only to PIN 13!
4. Disconnect steady plus of trailer cable (2)
from the distributor and connect the ATC re-
turn line (4) to this terminal.
5. Connect steady plus line of trailer cable (2)
directly to ATC power supply line (3).
There is now steady plus from the towing
vehicle via the ATC to the distributor box.
6. The correct power supply (12V) from the to-
wing vehicle is also essential for the proper
function of the ATC.
