Produktbeschreibung
Der Überspannungsableiter «Limitor VD» ist ein 2-po-
liger, direkt auf die DIN-Hutprofilschiene montierbarer
Überspannungsableiter der Anforderungsklasse D
nach DIN VDE0675 Teil 6 und der Anforderungsklas-
se III nach der internationalen Norm IEC 61643-1
(1998-02). Er dient zum Schutz von elektronischen
Verbrauchern und Endgeräten (230 V TN- und TT-
Netz) vor Überspannungen, die durch Blitzeinschläge
in der Ferne oder durch Schaltvorgänge hervorge-
rufen werden.
Die Schutzbeschaltung bietet aktiven Schutz gegen
Überspannung zwischen L/N und PE (commen mode)
und L/N (differential mode). Ist der Apparat korrekt
angeschlossen, leuchtet die LED-Anzeige grün
(Betrieb). Nach den aktuellen Richtlinien sind die
Schutzelemente mit einer thermischen Überwachung
ausgestattet. Im Falle einer Überlast werden die
Schutzelemente vom Netz abgetrennt und die LED-
Anzeige wechselt von grün auf rot (Defekt). Über den
optionalen Fernmeldekontakt kann das Ansprechen
der Abtrennvorrichtung angezeigt werden. Ebenfalls
kann dies durch ein im Gerät integriertes akustisches
Signal erfolgen.

Description du produit
Le parasurtension «Limitor VD» est un parasurtension
bipolaire, à monter directement sur le profil DIN oméga,
de la classe d'exigences D selon DIN VDE0675
partie 6 et de la classe d'exigences III selon la norme
internationale IEC 61643-1 (1998-02). Il sert à la pro-
tection d'appareils et de terminaux électroniques
(réseau 230 V TN et TT) contre des surtensions
provoquées par des chocs de foudre à distance ou
par des manœuvres.
Le couplage de protection offre une protection active
contre les surtensions entre L/N et PE (common
mode) et L/N (differential mode). Si l'appareil est
raccordé correctement, la lampe LED s'allume en vert
(marche). Selon les directives actuelles, les éléments
de protection sont équipés d'une surveillance ther-
mique. Dans le cas d'une surcharge, les éléments de
protection sont découplés du réseau et la lampe LED
passe du vert au rouge (défaut). Le déclenchement du
dispositif de déconnexion peut être signalé par le
contact de signalisation à distance en option. Cela
peut également avoir lieu par un signal acoustique
intégré dans l'appareil.

Product description
The "Limitor VD" surge arrester is a 2-pole arrester of
class D to DIN VDE0675 Part 6 and class III to interna-
tional standard IEC 61643-1 (1998-02) for fitting
directly on DIN cap section rails. It is used to protect
electronic consumers and output units (230 V TN and
TT network) from overvoltages caused by distant
lightning strokes or by switching operations.
The protective circuit provides active protection
against overvoltage between L/N and PE (common
mode) and L/N (differential mode). The green LED
lights if the unit is connected correctly (operation). The
protective elements are provided with a thermal
monitor according to present guidelines. In the event
of an overload, the protective elements are discon-
nected from the mains and the LED changes from
green to red (fault). The response of the isolating
device can be indicated via an optional signalling
contact. This can also be provided by an acoustic
signal integrated in the unit.
