Charging and inserting the li-ion battery

Only use the charger (41915) included
in the delivery contents as well as the
li-ion battery (41914), also included.
Charge the battery at an ambient
temperature of 0–40 °C.

The li-ion battery is delivered partially charged! Prior to first use, fully charge the li-ion
battery using the charger included. The li-ion battery is protected against complete
discharge during use. If the li-ion battery is discharged, the speedE
protective circuit and the electric screw-fastening support ceases movement.
1. Twist the end cap 1 off in an anti-clockwise direction (Fig. 1).
2. Remove the li-ion battery 9 (Fig. 1).
The LED lamp flashes to indicate low charge level (< 20%). The electric screw-
fastening support works up to a charge level of 20%. After that you can continue to
use the speedE II without the electric screw-fastening support.

3. Insert the empty li-ion battery into the charger included and connect the charger to an
electrical supply using a USB interface.
The charge level indicator on the charger flashes briefly in red and then briefly in
green. This indicates that the charger is functional. The charge level indicator lights
up in red during charging. The charge level indicator lights up in green when the li-ion
battery is charged.
4. Insert the charged li-ion battery into the screwdriver handle 2 .
Observe the polarity of the li-ion battery! The battery alignment marking is on the
bottom, inside the battery compartment.
5. Twist the end cap shut in a clockwise direction.
1. Turn the ring switch 8 .
The LED lamp 7 is illuminated for 5 s (Fig. 2) and then switches off automatically.
Do not look directly into the LED lamp.
Turning the ring switch a little bit to light up the LED lamp a little in advance.
1. Pull the slimBit out. As the slimBit is not locked separately it can be removed by
overcoming the power of the clamp.
Only use the fitted and VDE-tested Wiha slimVario system with 6 mm bit chuck!
2. Insert the slimBit 5 + 6 into the bit chuck 4 (Fig. 3) the correct way around, until you
hear a short click. The bit is connected to the screwdriver handle via a clamp inside the
bit chuck 2 .
