3. Exchange UVC-lamp
UVC light is harmful to the retina. Never operate the heater without a housing.
Wait for the device to cool down completely.
Replace the UVC lamp after approx. 8000 hours of operation, since the output will then
decrease significantly.
a. Place the iCovir® Basic upside down on a gentle surface. The three device feet serve as
locking screws. Turn this off. Now you can remove the device base from the housing.
b. Grasp the glass bulb of the UVC lamp and pull it out vertically.
c. Insert the new lamp. This must be fully engaged in the lamp socket and remain
vertical.
d. The device base and lamp can now be reinserted into the housing. Screw the device
feet back onto the bolts until you feel them stop. Put the iCovir® Basic back on its feet.
