off or the person should leave the area.
• Make sure that only rechargeable batteries are
used. Do not use standard batteries! The use of
standard batteries may cause an explosion and
destroy the device. Rechargeable battery should
not be used if the temperature is under 0 °C. They
may become damaged and lose the capacity.
• If you do not use the device for an extended
period of time, remove the batteries and store
them accordingly.
• Keep these instructions in a safe place and pass
them on when giving the device to a third person.
• This unit is suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
• Place the device in such a way that it does not
become a tripping hazard.

5. Getting started
It is basically not necessary to charge the batteries externally. The batteries are suf-
ficiently charged by the solar cell in summer when it is exposed to direct sunlight. If
you use the deterrent as a preventive measure in February, it is advisable to charge
the device manually once a week with a charger due to the short days and reduced
