• The product is not suitable for operation with
dimmers, electrical switches, photocells, timer
switches and twilight switches.
• Do not use the product if the adapter,
connection cable or power cable is damaged.
• Lay all cables so that they do not pose a
tripping hazard.
• Do not bend or crush the cable.
• Dispose of packaging material immediately
according to locally applicable regulations.
4. Setup and operation
It's so simple – downloading the app:
• Download the Hama Smart Solution app from
the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.
• Open the Hama Smart Solution app.
• If you're using it for the rst time, you'll have
to register rst and create a new account. If
you already have an account, log in using your
login details.

• Do not use damaged or unsuitable power
supply units or LED light strips.
• When changing LED light strips, always
ensure that the LED light strip in question is
current-free. Switch off the current and/or
pull the mains plug.
Warning
• Use this product only with power supply
units and LED light strips (GRB, BRG) that
are approved for the application. To that
end, check the technical speci cations of the
power supply unit, LED light strip and WiFi
controller for compatibility.
• Before carrying out the installation, check
that the power supply unit and LED light
strip are in perfect technical condition.
• Please note that lamps (even LEDs) generate
heat and may become hot. Always let the
LED light strip cool for a few minutes before
touching or changing it.
• Disconnect the product from the mains if it
will not be used for a long period of time.
• Connect the WiFi controller to an LED light
strip. Make sure that the polarity is correct:
The arrow on the plug indicates the contact
that must be connected to the 12-V contact
of the LED light strip. Please also refer to
the operating instructions for the LED light
strip used.
• Then connect the controller to a properly
installed and easily accessible power socket
via a power supply unit. Please refer to the
operating instructions for the power supply
unit used.
• The LED light strip begins to ash quickly. If
this does not happen, quickly disconnect and
reconnect the power supply unit three times.
