OptiLink
To use the OptiLink for a connection from your
CEDES product to a computer, plug the USB con-
nector into any free USB plug on your computer.
Start the software 'Configuration Too'l and select the
corresponding COM port.
Hint:
See the available COM ports before plugging the
OptiLink into your computer (Configuration Tool
software – Menu "Option – COM port settings").
Then plug the USB connector to your computer and
check again the available COM ports. The COM port
number, which appeared during this procedure, is
the one for the OptiLink communication.

4.1.1. Connection to a Safe2+/4 light curtain

The Optilink can be connected to the emitter or re-
ceiver light curtain. For long term monitoring the
Velcro fastener is recommended.

4.1.2. Connection to a SafeC x00 control unit

Attach the OptiLink suction cup to the window
marked with the sign.

4.1.3. Connection to a SafeCIS3 Control unit

The use of the SafeCIS3 fastener is recommended
to mount the suction cup to the control unit.

4.1.4. Connection to an ObjectC 100 Control
unit
Thanks to the suction cup the OptiLink head is at-
tached easily on the
jectC 100 control unit.
