MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
WARNING!
Before cleaning the unit, always disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet!
Prior to handling, make sure the unit has cooled down!
The surface of the unit may only be cleaned using a wet cloth. Do not use any detergents
or hard objects as they may damage the unit's surface!
Never clean the unit under running water, do not rinse it, and do not submerge
it in water!
REMOVAL OF BOILER SCALE
Impurities from water collect during normal use. These sediments can be removed
from the kettle perfectly by using preparations designed for removing limescale (see
the producer's instructions), or using the following procedure:
1. Pour three cups of vinegar into the kettle and top up with water. Leave the solution
in the kettle overnight. Do not boil!
2. Pour out the contents, and clean remaining sediment using a wet cloth. Top up the
kettle with clean water, boil it and pour out again. Repeat the procedure. The kettle
is then ready for operation.
Note: Remove the sediment inside the kettle regularly, at least once a week, depending
on the water hardness and frequency of use. Deposits reduce the heating effect and
life of the kettle considerably.
