Put the SoftPrecision cap on the epilating head
(fig. 12).

The SoftPrecision cap can only be fitted onto the
appliance in one way.

Switch the appliance on (fig. 13).
We advise you to select speed II.

Stretch the skin with your free hand (fig. 8).

Place the appliance perpendicularly onto your skin,
with the on/off slide pointing in the direction in
which you are going to move the appliance (fig. 9).

Move the appliance slowly over the skin, against the
direction of the hair growth (fig. 10).
◗ Epilate your bikini line as shown in the figure (fig. 14).
◗ Epilate your underarms as shown in the figure
(fig. 15).
◗ For a cool sensation, you can dab the area you have
just epilated with a cloth soaked in cold water.
Shaving the underarms and bikini line
You can use the shaving head to shave the delicate parts
of your body, such as the underarms and bikini line areas.
With the shaving head you will obtain a smooth result in
a comfortable and gentle way.

Remove the epilating head (fig. 2).

Mount the shaving head onto the appliance (fig. 16).

Switch the appliance on (fig. 17).
We advise you to select speed I.

Stretch the skin with your free hand (fig. 8).

Place the appliance perpendicularly onto your skin,
with the on/off slide pointing in the direction in
which you are going to move the appliance (fig. 18).

Move the appliance slowly over the skin against the
direction of the hair growth while pressing it lightly
(fig. 19).
◗ Shave your bikini line as shown in the figure (fig.
20).
◗ Shave your underarms as shown in the figure (fig.
21).
Cleaning
.
For a good and smooth epilating result, it is essential that
you clean the epilating head after each use.
Never immerse the appliance in water.
Do not use aggressive cleaners, scouring agents, petrol,
acetone etc. to clean the plastic housing of the appliance.
Never try to remove the epilating discs from the epilating
head. Do not exert pressure on the shaving foil to avoid
damaging it.

Switch the appliance off (fig. 11).

Remove the mains plug from the wall socket (fig. 22).

Remove the shaving or epilating head by pushing the
ribbed section with your thumb in the direction of
the arrow indicated on the back of the shaving or
epilating head and then lifting it off the appliance
(fig. 2).

Clean the epilating discs of the epilating head and all
other parts that have become accessible with the
brush supplied (fig. 23).

Clean the shaving head in the following way: (fig.
24).
-
Remove the shaving foil from the cutter block.
-
Clean the hair chamber, the cutter block and the foil
with the brush.
◗ Attach the shaving or epilating head by placing it
onto the appliance and pushing it against the
direction of the arrow indicated on the back of the
shaving or epilating head until it snaps home (fig. 3).
Maintenance

Put the protective cover on the shaving head after
use.

Rub a drop of sewing machine oil onto the foil of
the shaving head twice a year.
Replacement
.
If you use the appliance two or more times a week, we
advise you to replace the shaving foil and the cutter block
every 1 to 2 years.
A worn or damaged shaving foil may only be replaced by
an original Philips shaving foil (type no. HP6116).
The cutter block is available under type no. HP2911.
Environment
.

Do not throw the appliance away with the normal
household waste at the end of its life, but hand it in
at an official collection point for recycling. By doing
this you will help to preserve the environment (fig.
25).
