PLASTIC DRUM PUMP
WARNING CAUTIONS :
1. Always carefully read, thoroughly understand and follow the pump operating instructions.
2. Prior to use, inspect your pump thoroughly verifying its proper assembly.
3. Prior to use, always carefully and thoroughly read and understand the OSHA information contained in
the Safety Data Sheet supplied for the chemical which is to be pumped.
4. Wear protective clothing (goggles, face masks, long sleeves, long pants, gloves, aprons, etc.) as set
forth in the OSHA Safety Data Sheet when pumping any chemical which is hazardous, corrosive or
injurious.
5. Wear respiratory protection.
6. For your personal safety, never pump FLAMMABLE or EXPLOSIVE chemicals.
7. Never pump hot solutions.
8. If a poisonous or corrosive (either acid or caustic) sotution is pumped, special care should be taken that
no Trace of the solution is left in the pump after use. Rinse after use thoroughly and completely,
These cautions are supplied for your personal safety.
Be thoroughly familiar with OSHA regulations and OSHA safety precautions.
Pump kit contains the following parts (see figure 1 at the end of the document):
1. Pump body
2. Spigot
3. Restrictor clip
4. Pail adaptor
5. Solid intake tube
6. Telescoping intake tube
Assembly Instructions: :
Attach spigot (2) to Pump Body (1), be sure that spigot is fully seated onto pump body (1).
For drums with inside depth of 25» or more, thread solid intake tube (5) onto bottom of pump body and
then thread telescoping tube (6) into the end of the solid tube. Threads should be hand tightened only, do
not overtighten as this will strip the threads.
For containers with inside height shorter than 25», attach only the telescopic intake tube (6) to the pump
body.
For pails equipped with Rieke Sf»8 flex spouts that have the raised metal ring on their perimeter:
1. Thread the pail adaptor (4) onto the base of the pump body.
2. Open the flex spout and remove the center seal.
3. Push the spout down until it is recessed into the pail.
4. Slide the pail adaptor (4) onto the metal ring by tilting the pump at a slight angle while pressing the
adaptor firmly over the metal ring.
5. To remove pump from pail, hold the paii firmly in place, grasp the center of the pump body (1) and
pull firmly to the side.
For the full length output is 16 oz per stroke. To restrict output, snap restrictor clip (3) onto pump shaft
below pump handle. Use two clips at both short sides restrict output to 12 oz per stroke, at both long sides
restrict output to 10 oz per stroke.

Waarschuwing:
1. Lees de gebruikershandleiding van de pomp aandachtig door en zorg dat u de inhoud volledig begrijpt.

3. Lees voor gebruik altijd de OSHA-richtlijnen door die zijn opgenomen in het veiligheidsinformatieblad
behorende bij de chemische vloeistof die moet worden gepompt.
4. Draag bij het pompen van gevaarlijke, corrosieve of anderszins schadelijke chemische stoffen bescher-
mende kleding (veiligheidsbril, gezichtsmasker, lange mouwen, lange broek, handschoenen, schorten,
enz.) zoals voorgeschreven in de OSHA-richtlijnen op het veiligheidsinformatieblad.
5. Draag ademhalingsbescherming.
6. Voor uw veiligheid: pomp nooit brandbare of explosieve vloeistoffen.
7. Pomp nooit warme vloeistoffen.
8. Zorg ervoor dat bij het pompen van giftige of corrosieve (zuren of bijtende stoffen) vloeistoffen geen
resten in de pomp achterblijven. Spoel de pomp na gebruik grond en volledig door.
Deze waarschuwingen zijn bedoeld voor uw veiligheid.
Zorg dat u volledig vertrouwd bent met de OSHA-richtlijnen en OSHA-veiligheidsvoorschriften.
De pompeenheid bestaat uit de volgende onderdelen (zie afbeelding 1 aan het einde van het
document):

Montage-instructies:
Bevestig de kraan (2) aan het pomphuis (1). Zorg dat de kraan volledig in het pomphuis (1) is aangebracht.
Bij vaten met een binnendiepte van 25 inch of meer: schroef de vaste inlaatbuis (5) in de bodem van
het pomphuis en schroef de telescopische buis (6) in het uiteinde van de vaste buis. Schroef de buizen
handvast. Haal niet te strak aan, omdat de schroefdraad hierdoor beschadigd raakt.
Bij vaten met een binnendiepte van minder dan 25 inch: schroef alleen de telescopische buis (6) in het
pomphuis.
Bij vaten uitgerust met Rieke SF 8" flexibele tuiten met een verhoogde metalen ring op de rand:
1. Schroef de adapter (4) op de onderkant van het pomphuis.
2. Open de flexibele tuit en verwijder de centrale afdichting.
3. Druk de tuit naar beneden tot deze is in het vat zit.
4. Schuif de adapter (4) op de metalen ring door de pomp licht te kantelen en de adapter stevig over de
metalen ring te drukken.
5. Om de pomp uit het vat te halen, houdt u het vat stevig vast en trekt u het midden van het pomphuis
(1) naar de zijkant.
Bij volledige lengte is de stroomsnelheid 16 oz. per slag. Om de stroomsnelheid te beperken, klemt u
de begrenzer (3) op de pompas, onder de hendel. Gebruik twee klemmen aan beide korte zijden om
de stroomsnelheid te beperken tot 12 oz. per slag en aan beide lange zijden om de stroomsnelheid te
beperken tot 10 oz. per slag.

KUNSTSTOFF-FASSPUMPE
WARNHINWEISE UND VORSICHTSMASSNAHMEN:
1. Die folgenden Bedienungsanweisungen für die Pumpe immer aufmerksam lesen, durchweg verstehen
und befolgen.
2. Die Pumpe vor dem Gebrauch gründlich überprüfen und ihren richtigen Zusammenbau bestätigen.
3. Vor dem Gebrauch immer die Gesundheits- und Sicherheitsinformationen im Sicherheitsdatenblatt, das
der zu fördernden Chemikalie beiliegt, aufmerksam und gründlich lesen und verstehen.
4. Schutzkleidung (Schutzbrille, Gesichtsmasken, lange Ärmel, lange Hosen, Handschuhe, Schürzen usw.)
wie im Sicherheitsdatenblatt angegeben tragen, wenn eine Chemikalie gefördert wird, die gesundheits-
gefährlich, korrosiv oder schädlich ist.
5. Atemschutz tragen.
6. Für Ihre eigene Sicherheit niemals ENTZÜNDLICHE oder EXPLOSIVE Chemikalien pumpen.
7. Niemals heiße Lösungen pumpen.
8. Wenn eine giftige oder korrosive Lösung (entweder Säure oder Basen) gefördert wird, muss besonders
darauf geachtet werden, dass keine Spur der Lösung nach dem Gebrauch in der Pumpe hinterlassen wird.
Nach jedem Gebrauch gründlich und vollständig ausspülen.
Diese Vorsichtsmaßnahmen dienen Ihrer persönlichen Sicherheit.
Sie müssen vollkommen mit den Unfallverhütungsvorschriften und den geltenden
Arbeitsschutzvorschriften vertraut sein.
Der Pumpensatz enthält die folgenden Teile (siehe Abbildung 1 am Ende des Dokuments):
1. Pumpengehäuse
2. Auslaufbogen
3. Drosselklammer
4. Fassadapter
5. Starres Ansaugrohr
6. Teleskopansaugrohr
Montageanleitung:
Auslaufbogen (2) am Pumpengehäuse befestigen (1). Darauf achten, dass der Auslaufbogen vollständig
am Pumpengehäuse (1) sitzt.
Bei Fässern mit einer Innentiefe von 100 cm oder mehr das starre Ansaugrohr (5) am Boden des Pum-
pengehäuses einschrauben und dann das Teleskoprohr (6) in das Ende des starren Rohrs einschrauben.
Gewinde dürfen nur handfest angezogen sein. Nicht zu fest anziehen, da dies die Gewinde beschädigt.
Bei Behältern mit einer Innenhöhe kürzer als 100 cm nur das Teleskopansaugrohr (6) am Pumpengehäuse
befestigen.
Bei Fässern mit Rieke Sr™ Flexrohren, die einen erhabenen Metallring an ihrem Umfang haben:
