Operation
Operating voltage: 220-240V~, 50/60Hz, 1850-2200W
Maximum capacity for boiling water: 1,5 L
Maximum capacity for preparing tea: 1,25 L
Minimum capacity: 0,5 L
Before the first use of the kettle, clean the kettle according to the following steps: while the tea filter is
inserted, fill water into the kettle up to the maximum water level, then boil and discard the water.
Operation steps for boiling water:
To fill the kettle, remove it from the power base and open the lid by pulling on the lid handle.
o
When pouring water into the kettle, make sure that the water is filled between the 0,5 L and 1,5 L
o
marks, with or without an inserted, empty tea filter.
Make sure the lid is closed firmly. The lid handle should be turned clockwise until the stop. Place
o
the kettle on the power base and connect to power supply. A sound signal will play.
Select the desired temperature by pressing on the according button. Press the on-/off-button to start
o
the boiling process. Every action will be accompanied by a sound signal and lights. Please note that
the appliance can only start working when the set temperature is above the temperature within the
kettle. During the boiling process, the light of the temperature button will flash. When the water
finished boiling, the sound signal will play twice, the light is lit continuously and the appliance will be
in standby mode automatically.
Operation steps for preparing tea:
To fill the kettle, remove it from the power base and open the lid by pulling on the lid handle.

Alternatively, you can turn the lid handle anticlockwise and then pull it up. This way you will be able
to insert and remove the tea filter with tea bags or loose tea leaves.
When pouring water into the kettle, fill the kettle with inserted and filled tea filter between 0,5 L and
o
1,25 L.
Make sure the lid is closed firmly. The lid handle should be turned clockwise until the stop. Place
o
the kettle on the power base and connect to power supply. A sound signal will play.
The boiling temperature for tea varies depending on the tea type.
o
Example: 70°C: Green tea
Select the desired temperature by pressing on the according button. Press the on-/off-button to start
o
the boiling process. Every action will be accompanied by a sound signal and lights. Please note that
the appliance can only start working when the set temperature is above the temperature within the
kettle. During the boiling process the light of the temperature button will flash. When the water
finished boiling, the sound signal will play twice, the light is lit continuously and the appliance will be
in standby mode automatically.
Operation steps for keep-warm function:
To keep the water temperature on the same level for a period of time, press the keep-warm button.

Select your desired temperature (70°C, 80°C or 90°C) and press the on-/off-button. Please note that
o
the keep-warm function cannot operate at 100°C.
During a time frame of one hour, the water will be heated automatically to stay at the desired
o
temperature. After one hour the appliance will turn off by itself. If you wish to cancel the keep-warm
function earlier, press the on-/off-button.
While the water is kept warm, you can lift the kettle from the power base to use. If the kettle is not
o
put back on the power base after one minute, a sound signal will play and the appliance will turn off.
Cleaning
Always disconnect the kettle from the power outlet and let it cool before cleaning. Never immerse the
kettle or its electric components in water to prevent electric shocks.
Wipe over the exterior of the kettle with a soft wet cloth and then wipe dry with a dry cloth.
Do not use any chemicals or other abrasive cleaning solvents to clean.
Minerals in water may deposit at the bottom of kettle, which will influence the usability of the kettle. So
periodical descaling is needed. Please use detergents according to their instructions or with vinegar.
For the cleaning method using vinegar fill the kettle with 3 cups of vinegar, then add water until the
maximum of the kettle and allow it to sit overnight. Empty the solution from the kettle. Fill the kettle with
clean water to the maximum level, discard after boiling. Repeat for several times until there is no taste
of vinegar left.
80°C: Oolong tea
90°C: Black tea
100°C: Herbal tea, fruit tea
