When dealing with electrical appliances, certain fundamental safety precautions should be followed:
1. Before using the air cooler:
a. Check that the connecting cable is not damaged. Do not switch the appliance on if there are any signs of
worn or exposed wires.
2. Select a suitable location for the appliance.
a. Place the air cooler on a firm, flat floor so that the appliance can operate correctly.
b. Do not place the air cooler near heat sources (ovens, radiators and other heating equipment can dam-
age the appliance).
c. Place the appliance in a room which is not accessible to children. The connecting cable must be safely
positioned so that no one can pull on it or trip over it.
3. Safety instructions for use:
a. This appliance is equipped with a coded plug for connection to an AC socket. Only use plugs which are
suitable for this socket connection.
b. Always unplug the mains plug from the power socket before cleaning or repairing the appliance. Never
switch on the power supply when the appliance is not connected to the mains supply.
c. Do not tilt the air cooler or try to move it when it is in operation. Unplug the mains plug from the power
socket before moving the appliance.
d. Switch the air cooler off if the relative air humidity is very high. To determine this, you can purchase a
hygrometer from most building supplies stores.
e. When the appliance is not in use, unplug the mains plug from the power socket, roll up the power sup-
ply lead and empty the humidifier.
5. Cool blocks
1. Open the catch on the water filling inlet and remove the supplied cool
blocks.
2. Place the blue cool blocks filled with crystals on a level surface, open the
locking yellow caps.
3. Fill the cool blocks with tap water right up to the mark.
4. Close the cool blocks and shake them so that the crystals mix with the
water.
5. Place the cool blocks in the freezer for 3 - 4 hours until the cool blocks are
completely frozen. Then LAY the cool blocks in the water reservoir which
contains the water. The appliance is then ready for operation.
6. After use it is not necessary to refill the cool blocks with water. The cool
blocks need only to be completely refrozen before they are used again.
!
If you swallow some of the freezing agent which is contained inside the cool blocks, then you must
seek medical advice from a doctor immediately!
Take care to ensure that the freezing agent does not get into the eyes. If this should occur, rinse the
!
eyes with plenty of water and consult an eye specialist immediately!

6. Operation
6.1 General Instructions
•
Ensure that a distance of at least 40 cm is maintained from the side of the appliance and the back of the ap-
pliance to the wall. There should be a distance of 1m between the front of the air outlet opening and other
objects.
•
The device must not be tilted, moved or emptied when switched on. Unplug the mains plug from the
power socket before tilting, moving or emptying the appliance.
•
Tap water should only be used for filling the water reservoir, or when the level of water hardness is too high,
then distilled water should be used.
•
Never add chemical substances, such as scents or solvents to the water.
6.2 Filling the water
Ensure that the water drainage stopper (14) is securely inserted. Open the water filling flap (12) and fill the
water reservoir located inside (7) with cold water up to the maximum level on the water level gauge. To
increase the cooling function, place the previously frozen cool blocks in the water reservoir filled with water.
Then close the water filling flap (12).
6.3 Operation
"ON / OFF"
Switch (5) switches the appliance on and off.
"Fan speed"
Switch (2) switches the fan speed to low, medium and high.
"Timer"
Switch (1) The operating time of the appliance can be set between 30 minutes and
7 hours, whereby each time the switch is pressed the operating time is increased
by an increment of 30 minutes After the preselected time has elapsed, the appli-
ance will automatically switch off.
"Oscillation"
Switch (3) switches on the oscillation of the vertical air outlet louvres. These tilt to
an angle of approx. 100° back and forth. The adjustment of the horizontal louvres is
carried out manually.
"Cooling"
Switch (4) switches on the rotation of the filter mat. Here the filter mat is led
through the water reservoir and soaked with water. The inducted air is blown out
with a higher level of air humidity and is therefore cooler.
All functions of the appliance can be operated via the supplied remote control. The operating range is ap-
prox. 5 m. The remote control requires a type CR2025 3V battery (included in delivery).
Please check polarity when inserting the batteries in the remote control.
Please dispose of used batteries at the your local designated disposal site.
