3. Set up the unit such that the end of the tube is positioned over a drain.
Thus, the tube end must be positioned beneath the unit's outlet (i.e.
the tube must slope downwards).
4. Switch on the unit and select the desired programme.

Cleaning the Filter

1. Switch the unit off and remove the mains plug
from the wall socket.
2. Remove the water tank from the unit.
3. Push the cover to the right in order to disengage
the cover from the unit.
4. Remove the plastic filter. Wash the filter and the
cover thoroughly with lukewarm water.
5. Allow both parts to dry completely before re-
inserting the filter into the unit. To insert, follow
the reverse sequence.
Hints: The performance of the unit also depends upon how clean the filter
is. The plastic filter should be washed regularly, depending on how
frequently the unit is used.

Overheating Protection

 The overheating protection will switch off the unit automatically if there
is a risk of overheating.
 For approx. 3 minutes thereafter, the unit cannot be re-started. After
approx. 3 minutes, the unit will re-start automatically.
 Check whether external factors may have triggered the overheating
protection. (e. g. temperatures above 35° C or a closed flap (1) of the
air outlet.

Automatic defrosting

To ensure that the unit does not ice up during sustained operation, it
defrosts automatically. This involves activation of dehumidification, with
the motor running at the highest setting. The ranges involved vary.
