16 Commissioning and adjustments:

How to adjust your system perfectly to your needs
Before commissioning your air curtain system, you must ensure that all water installations and
electrical installations have been carried out correctly.
Cable glands for connecting the motors to the power supply are also located on the top of the sys-
tem.

16.1 Basic information: operating modes and fan settings

Depending on the prevailing outside temperature you can choose between two operating modes:
summer or winter. You can also choose between manual and automatic operating mode.
You can choose the power level on the selector switch on the control unit. The control unit is
equipped with a fault alarm system (see operating instructions for the control unit). You can adjust
the air discharge speed of the fans at 5 levels:
Level 1 = min. air discharge speed
Level 5 = max. air discharge speed
In the summer operating mode, only the fans are operating at the selected level. This operating
mode screens the outdoor air and circulates the air inside.
In the winter operating mode, the heating is switched on. The heat exchanger is supplied with hot
water. The air curtain screens the entrance with warm air. The fans are operated even if the build-
ing's heating system is not in operation (operation without heating medium).
In the manual operating mode, the fans are operated permanently at the selected level.
In the automatic operating mode, the fans are put into operation by an external con-tact (e.g. door
contact, room thermostat) at the selected level.
Stand 30.10.2019
All electrical installations must be performed by specialist companies (plumb-
ers, electricians). Teddington Luftschleieranlagen GmbH can otherwise not as-
sume any warranty (see chapter "Safety").
Only connect heating pipes with appropriate tools, so that connections
(pipes, heat exchanger connections) are secured to prevent twisting.
Before commissioning all electrical cables must be inspected! Incorrect con-
nection can lead to danger to life! Important: no safety parts, covers and
grounding conductor connections may be removed.
Measure the fan motor's electrical input and compare it with the electrical in-
put data on the model label.
