    OVERLOAD INDICATION Range overload is indicated by “OL” in the display. In this condition, take immediate steps to remove the cause of the overload. Select the next higher range until a value is displayed. If overload condition still exists, remove test leads from the measurement setup as it is beyond the range of the meter.

    MEASURING PROCEDURES GENERAL: Turn instrument on and select the parameter you want to measure. Ranging: This instrument is autoranging (except capacitance on 35XL) - it automatically selects the range that gives the best resolution for the measured value. Freeze the range you are in by pressing the RANGE button.

  • Seite 12 Note for AC Measurements: The 35XL is an “average sensing meter”. The 35XL measures the average value of an AC signal, which is then scaled to show the RMS value of a pure sine wave. Different conversion factors need to be applied for other waveforms.
