These operation instructions contain the basic
information to be observed during installation,
operation and maintenance of the pump. It is
important that the operation instructions are
read by the installer and specialised personnel/
supervisor before assembling and starting up
the pump. The instructions must always be kept
in in the site of pump and system use.
Failure to observe the safety instructions will
render the warranty null and void.
In these operation instructions, the safety infor-
mation is marked with the following symbols.

stitutes a hazard.

Personnel assigned for the use, maintenance,
inspection and assembly of the pump must
be sufficiently qualified for the purpose and
completely familiar with all the operation in-
structions supplied. The areas of responsibility,
competence and monitoring of personnel must
be governed in a precise manner by the super-
visor. If personnel do not possess sufficient
knowledge, they must be suitably trained and
instructed in these procedures.
Observance of the safety information present in
the operation instructions, the current nation-
al standards governing accidents at the work
place, and occupational health and safety regu-
lations, operation and safety.
The current legislation, standards and regula-
tions governing safety must be observed at all
times.
Eliminate all risks related to electricity.
Observe all current standards.
As a general principle, perform all operations
exclusively with the machine switched off. The
pumps or units that convey hazardous sub-
stances must be suitably decontaminated.
Immediately after these operations, all safety
and protection devices must be refit and set for
operation. The efficiency of these devices must
be checked before operating the pump, in ob-
