Your Heart Rate Support set consists of three components:
1. Chest band with transmitter
2. Elastic band
3. Receiver on handlebar

2. Operation

With Heart Rate Support, the amount of pedal assistance is determined by your
heart rate.
As soon as you start cycling, the pedal assistance will continually work on the basis
of the heart rate you have set (the setpoint).
If your current heart rate exceeds the setpoint, the system will give extra pedal
assistance for as long as necessary to reduce your heart rate adequately. After that,
you will have to put in more effort, which will cause your heart rate to rise again. In
this way, the system continuously works to maintain the desired heart rate. The
system is designed in such a way that the transitions from more pedal assistance to
less pedal assistance flow very smoothly.
Furthermore, the extra pedal assistance works in addition to the existing riding
program. This means you always get the usual pedal assistance when pedalling and
you can use the three pedal assistance settings – ECO, NORMAL and POWER – as
normal.
