ASPIRATION MOTOR MAINTENANCE
After working 1600 h, the electronic controls will show the message 'En', meaning that it is the time to replace
the aspiration motor. Then, proceed as following:
1. Unplug the unit.
2. Release the 6 bolt of the inner lid and remove it. You will get access to the motor.
3. Remove the 4 bolts holding the motor (16).
4. Remove the old motor and place the new one. Be careful to maintain the calbe conecctions.
5. Fix the motor with the 4 bolts (16).
IMPORTANT: Tighten the bolts just to hold the motor (about 4 laps). If bolts are tightened too
much, the blades will touch the housing, damaging the motor.
6. Close the inner lid and check the correct working of the unit.
7. In order to reset the motor timer, press simultaneously keys [AUTO/MAN] and [+] for 5 seconds. Notice
how the display blinks and 2 seconds later the timer resets and the 'En' message will dissapear.
NOTE: When the message 'En' appears, you will have to put the unit off and on in order to run again. The
message will keep on to remind that motor must be replaced as soon as possible. If not, after 100 hours the
unit will stop untill you replace the motor.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
In order to achieve the machine's optimal performance and a long working life, we strongly recommend you:
To clean the outer casing of the unit by always using a cloth. Do not use solvents or any other inflammable
•
product.
To check the filling level of the filter-bag regularly and to replace it according to the instructions in this
•
manual. Do not wait until the "Obstruction/Filter full" detection system operates.
To replace the filters periodically. The cartridge-filter has an estimated working life of 1500/2000 hours.
•
Always use MESTRA original spare parts.
To perform all the filter replacement operations very carefully in order to avoid dirtying the inside of the
•
aspiration chamber. Make sure that the filter bag is correctly fitted into the aspiration nozzle (A) and that it
rests on the lower tray of the aspiration chamber.
In case of overload in a Schuko power outlet (8), the thermal switch (9) will go off. When this occurs, wait
•
for several seconds and set it again by pressing the key.
Make sure the aspiration hoses installed in your lab do not have losses due to cracks, breaks or faulty
•
connections.
For the aspiration motor's sake, the unit should not operate continuously for long periods (more than 2-3
•
hours). In any case, the unit features a protection system for this eventuality.
