1. Find a room at least 10 m (35') long. Mark a point (k) on the floor at
one end of the room (fig. 11a).
2. Set up the laser so that its down beam is over point k. Make sure
the front level beam points toward the far end of the room (fig. 11a).
3. Mark a point (l) on the floor at the center of the room using a target
to transfer the front level beam location to the floor (fig. 11a).
4. Mark a point (m) on the far wall or transfer the front level beam
location to the floor (fig. 11a).
5. Move the DW085 to point l and align the front level beam to point m
again (fig. 11b).
6. Mark the location of two square beams as n and o on the floor.
NOTE: To ensure accuracy, the distances from k to l, l to m, l to n, and l to
o should be equal.
7. Turn the DW085 90° so the front level beam aligns to point n
(fig. 11c).
8. Mark the location of a first square beam (p) on the floor as close as
possible to point k (fig. 11c).
9. Measure the distance between points k and p (fig. 11c). If the
measurement is greater than the values indicated in the chart below,
the laser must be serviced at an authorized service center.
10. Next, turn the DW085 90° so that the front level beam aligns to
point o (fig. 11d).
11. Mark the location of a second square beam (q) on the floor as close
as possible to point k (fig. 11d).
12. Measure the distance between points k and q (fig. 11d). If the
measurement is greater than the values indicated in the chart below,
the laser must be serviced at an authorized service center.
