be rung by the Birth Alarm Mobile Dialler in
the event of an alarm.
Programme 1, 2, 3 or 4 phone numbers on
the SIM card (in the phone book) and give
these numbers the following names: AA, BB,
CC, DD (upper or lower case or a combina-
tion of both. Programme AA first!). There
should be no other entries in the phone book
starting with AA, BB, CC or DD (in upper or
lower case or a combination of both)! In the
event of an alarm, these will be rung in order
(if only one number has been programmed,
that number will be rung).
Once programmed, the SIM card is ready for
insertion in the BA Mobile Dialler, and can be
retrieved from your mobile. Be sure to dis-
connect the DIN plug from the Birth Alarm
Receiver before inserting the SIM card in the
dialler.
The cover on the BA Mobile Dialler can be
undone and the SIM card placed in its hold-
er: just lift the clip and slide in the card (side
with gold contact down, edge with angle
up), press the clip down and push the slide in
the direction of the arrow (LOCK). The SIM
card holder is now locked in place.
In the event of a power failure, you can keep
the dialler active by placing a 9 V battery in
the battery compartment. Make sure the +
and – poles are not reversed.
Note: This battery only powers the BA
Mobile Dialler, not the Birth Alarm Receiver!
Tighten the 4 screws in the protective cap,
then insert the DIN plug in the back of the
Birth Alarm Receiver.
Tip: Write the alarm telephone number(s) for
the Birth Alarm on a sticker and attach this
underneath or on top of your own mobile(s).
That way, if an alarm call is sent and you
pick up and hear that it is an alarm, you can
easily ring back to stop the alarm. (You can
also give the number(s) a recognizable name
in your mobile's phone book to make ringing
back much easier. To do so, programme the
telephone number of the SIM card in the BA
Mobile Dialler in the phone book in your own
mobile (it will be called in the event of an
alarm), giving it a meaningful name such as
"Alarm". If an alarm is triggered, it will be
easy to read it on the screen of your mobile
so you can call back to stop it.
If you are not at home, are on a call or do
not answer, the Birth Alarm will, in the event
of an alarm, select the programmed num-
ber(s) in turn for ± 20 minutes or 16 times,
before stopping automatically. See below in
the user manual if you want to stop the alarm
earlier.
Birth Alarm Mobile Dialler now has a SIM
card and is connected. The Dialler is ready
for use.

a) Operation: switch-on - network
search – waiting time
Switch the BA Mobile Dialler on by pressing
for ± 1 second on the ON/OFF button. The
green LED will flash for ± 30 seconds (while
the dialler searches for the provider), then
stay on continuously once the network has
been found.
The rest is automatic: The red LED comes on
for 4 minutes, then goes out. (These 4 minutes
