The transplanter should preferably be lowered while the tractor is moving slowly, to avoid as much as
possible that topsoil accidentally enters the ploughshares.
-Avoid reverse motions with the transplanter still on the soil.

17.0 - WORK CYCLE

To maintain an optimum sequence between dropping the plant from the distributor (fi g. 9.A) and
expulsion from the ploughshare (fi g. 9.B) it is necessary to deposit at least 30 plants a minute in
each row.

18.0 - PHASING THE EXPELLER

When the plant descending from the drop tube reaches the ploughshare (fi g. 9.C.), the expeller (fi g. 9.B)
must be in the retracted position, and must only then begin its outward pushing stroke. If, for any reason,
high or low speed transplanting is permitted, the correct expulsion phasing can be maintained by adjusting
the rapid phasing device (fi g. 9.E).
- Loosen both screws(fi g. 9.F)
- Turn the distributor:
- Tighten the screws (fi g. 9.F) on completion of adjustment.
The appropriate reference notches (fi g. 9.E) make it possible to achieve correct adjustment in each
transplant unit.

19.0 - TRANSPLANT UNIT IN WORK PHASE

19.1- Act on the adjusting screw of the support wheels (fi g. 10) to adjust the transplanting groups
horizontally to the ground (fi g.10.A)
19.2 - Check that an oscillation space of approximately 2 cm remains between the beam stop
and the linkage (fi g. 11).
This is essential to allow the transplant unit to adapt itself to any unevenness in the ground.
19.3 - It is possible to change the weight on the packing wheels by acting on the adjusting screw
of the spring (fi g. 11.A)

20.0 - TRANSPLANT DEPTH

Turn the adjustment device (fi g. 12.A)
-clockwise to INCREASE DEPTH
-anti-clockwise to REDUCE DEPTH
It is possible to adjust the the press wheel position
with respect to the plowshare
Adjust the handwheel (fi g. 12.B):
It is possible to change the press wheel effi ciency by changing their distance(fi g. 12.C) between them.

21.0 - PLANT CONTROL

It is possible to adjust the mobile guard height (fi g. 13.E):
- unscrew the nut(fi g. 13.A) and move the guard (fi g. 13.E).
The phase can be changed with respect to the ejector:
- unscrew B and C, turn the lever D as shown in fi g. 13.

22.0 - DISTRIBUTOR DISK

The plant carrier bowls slide on a self-adjusting disk. Therefore, it is possible to adjust the position through
nuts(fi g. 14.A).
If you tighten the nuts, the clearance between disk and bowls increases.
If you unloose the nuts, the clearance between disk and glasses decreases until a particular pressure
level is attained.

23.0 - PLOUGHSHARE FORROW OPENER

It can be easily opened to be cleaned. Unloosen the wing nut (fi g. 15.A) and push the ploughshare forward
(fi g. 15.B) by pressing the safety lever (fi g. 15.C), lower the ploughshare. To close it: bring the ploughshare
back on a horizontal position, push then backward and lock the wing nut A.
