Never open the fi lter cover while the coffee is percolating as
otherwise this may cause burns.
Steam is emitted from above the fi lter holder during opera-

scalding!

Putting the device into operation

Remove all the packaging and transport protections from the
device. Wipe all the parts with a moist cloth. Then mount the
device again by proceeding in the opposite order.
Carry out 2 or 3 cycles with cold water only to clean the
device before brewing the fi rst cup of coffee.

Electrical connection

Insert the plug in a duly installed 230 V/50 Hz protective
contact socket. The details can be found on the appliance's
nameplate.
Make sure that the appliance is switched off. (The light in
the I/O switch is off).
Operating
1. Open the water tank lid.
2. Now fi ll with enough fresh cold water for the desired number
of cups. You can read the level on the water level display.
Do not overfi ll the appliance (max. 10 cups).
3. Close the water tank lid.
4. Swing the fi lter out to the left.
If necessary
fold the paper fi lter (size 1x4) along the lower
folding line and then place it in the fi lter funnel. Please
ensure that the fi lter bag is longer than the fi lter funnel. Then
fi ll it with coffee powder
(approx. 1 teaspoon for 2 cups).
5. Lock in the fi lter until it snaps into place.
6. Turn the device on by the I/O on/off switch. The control lamp
in the switch lights up.
7. Your appliance is provided with a drip stop. By removing the
pot, before the water runs through the fi lter completely, it
avoids that the coffee drips on the base. If there is still water
in the tank or fi lter, make sure that the pot is placed back
under the fi lter to avoid overfl owing.
8. When the coffee stops fl owing into the fi lter, you can remove
the pot.
9. Switch off the appliance. The control lamp goes out.
NOTE:
The fi lter holder can be removed from the machine.
This makes it easier to dispose of the old coffee fi lter,
for example.
De-scaling
De-scaling is necessary when the brewing time increases
substantially.
Use only commercially available citrus acid-based de-scaler.
Follow the recommended instructions for use.
