Power Connection

1a. USB mode
Connect one of the USB connectors (Type A) of the USB-to-DC power cable to
any available active USB port on the computer.
NOTE:
In USB mode some hard disk drives with low power requirements
may not require the power cable.
1b. eSATA mode
Connect both USB connectors (Type A) of the USB-to-DC power cable to
two available active USB ports on the computer.
NOTE:
In SATA mode some hard disk drives with low power requirements
may only require one of the USB connectors (type A) to be pluged in.
2. Insert the other end of the USB-to-DC cable into the DC power port
on the enclosure.

NOTE:
1. Slide the switch on the INTEGRAL eSATA enclosure to the USB 2.0 postition.
2. Ensure the power cable is connected (see power connection chapter).
3. Connect one end (mini type B) of the USB cable into the USB Port of
your INTEGRAL eSATA 2.5" enclosure.
4. Connect the other end of the USB cable (type A) into any available USB
port of the computer.
5. Let Windows /MAC search and install the driver automatically.
6. Open "My Computer"(in Windows) / Check "desktop" (in MAC) to see
your external hard drive ready to use.
NOTE:
1. If the hard disk is new and has not been partitioned and formated yet, please
refer to the
2. In order to reach USB 2.0 speed, you must have a motherboard or host
adapter card that has USB 2.0 support. This device will auto sense the speed
of your USB port and adjust between USB .0 and USB 2.0 speed.
3. Do not connect both (USB data and eSATA) cables at the same time.
Regardless of the hard disk interface used in the
enclosure (SATA or IDE), the USB2.0/eSATA switch
must be in the USB mode.
