Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Das Produkt ist zur Montage auf der Unterseite einer 3.5"-Festplatte vorgesehen und dient dort
zur Kühlung.
Merkmale
• Geeignet für fast alle 3.5"-Festplatten (IDE, SCSI, SATA)
• 5.25"-Stromstecker, durchgeschleift (es geht kein Stromstecker verloren)
• Festplattenkühler wird auf Unterseite (Elektronikseite) der Festplatte geschraubt, zwei Lüfter
blasen Frischluft auf die Platine der Festplatte

• Festplattenkühler (Metallbügel mit 2 Lüftern)
• Befestigungsschrauben
Montage
Falls Sie keine Fachkenntnisse für den Einbau besitzen, so lassen Sie den
Einbau von einer FACHKRAFT oder einer entsprechenden Fachwerkstatt durch-
führen!
Vorsicht Lebensgefahr!
Schalten Sie vor dem Öffnen Ihres PC den PC aus und trennen Sie ihn von der
Netzspannung, ziehen Sie den Netzstecker! Das Ausschalten über den
Netzschalter genügt nicht!
• Öffnen Sie das Gehäuse Ihres PCs und bauen Sie nun die zur Montage vorgesehene
Festplatte ggf. aus, damit der Festplattenkühler an der Festplatte befestigt werden kann.
Ziehen Sie das Stromkabel und das Flachbandkabel vorsichtig ab, wenden Sie keine Gewalt
an.
Gehen Sie vorsichtig mit der Festplatte um, durch Schläge, Stöße oder den Fall auf
den Tisch wird sie beschädigt bzw. Datenverlust ist möglich!
• Legen Sie die Festplatte mit der Platinenseite nach oben auf den Tisch. Legen Sie den
Festplattenkühler auf die Festplatte und schrauben Sie ihn mit 4 passenden Schrauben fest.
• Stecken Sie den Stromstecker hinten in die entsprechende Buchse der Festplatte.
• Setzen Sie die Festplatte vorsichtig in einen freien 3.5"-Einbauschacht Ihres PC-Gehäuses
ein und schrauben Sie sie mit 4 Schrauben fest.
Achten Sie darauf, dass die 4 Schrauben nicht zu lang sind und dadurch die
Elektronikplatine der Festplatte beschädigen! Die max. Gewindelänge sollte höch-
stens ca. 3-4mm betragen.
Zwischen den Lüftern und dem darunter liegenden Laufwerk bzw. Gehäuse sollte ein
Abstand von mindestens 1cm sein, damit die Lüfter störungsfrei Luft ansaugen können.
• Verbinden Sie die Festplatte mit dem Stromkabel und dem Flachbandkabel (Orientierung
beachten; Pin 1 der Festplatte liegt auf der Seite des Stromsteckers; Pin 1 des
Flachbandkabels ist farblich markiert).
• Verschließen Sie das Gehäuse Ihres PCs wieder.
• Verbinden Sie Ihren Computer mit allen Kabeln und schalten Sie ihn ein.
Falls der Computer nicht korrekt startet, schalten Sie ihn aus und kontrollieren Sie die
Kabelverbindungen (vor dem Öffnen des Computers Netzstecker ziehen, siehe oben!).

Intended Use
The product is intended for mounting on the underside of a 3.5" hard disk and is used there
for cooling purposes.
Features
• Suitable for almost all 3.5" hard disks (IDE, SCSI, SATA)
• 5.25" power plug, looped through (no power plug is lost)
• Hard disc cooler is screwed onto the bottom side (electronic side) of the hard disk, two fans
blow fresh air on to the circuit board of the hard disk
Scope of delivery
• Hard disk cooler (metal bracket with 2 fans)
• Fastening screws
Mounting
• Open the housing of your PC and, if necessary, dismount the hard disk intended for moun-
ting so that the hard disk cooler can be attached to the hard disk.
Strip the power cable and the ribbon cable; do not use force.
• Lay the hard disk on the table with circuit board upwards. Lay the hard disk cooler onto the
the hard disk and screw it tight with 4 suitable screws.
• Plug the power plug into the appropriate jack of the hard disk.
• Insert the hard disk carefully into a free 3.5" installation shaft of your PC housing and screw
it tight with 4 screws.
• Connect the hard disk with the power cable and ribbon cable (pay attention to the direction;
pin 1 of the hard disk lies on the side of the power plug; pin 1 of the ribbon cable is marked
in colour).
• Then, close the housing of your computer again.
• Connect all cables of the computer and switch it on.

If you have no specialist knowledge of installation procedures, please arrange
for the installation to be carried out by a SPECIALIST or an appropriate specia-
list workshop.
Proceed with caution. DANGER TO LIFE!
Before opening your PC, switch it OFF and disconnect it from the mains supply;
pull out the mains plug! It is not sufficient just to switch it off by means of the
mains switch.
Handle the hard disk with care. There is risk of damage or loss of data through
impact, blows or if it fell on the table!
Make sure that the 4 screws are not so long that they damage the electronic circuit
board of the hard disk! The max. length of the thread should not be greater that
approx. 3-4mm.
Between the fans and the drive or housing below them, there should be a distance of at
least 1 cm so that the fan can suck in the air without disturbance.
If the computer does not start correctly, switch it off and check the cable connections
(before opening the computer, pull out the mains cable, see above!).
