Option 3 – Manual Calculation:
If the Torque calculator slider or the factory calibration certificate do not list
the specific output torque you require, you must conduct a manual
calculation to determine the appropriate input torque.
Example 1:
Ratio: 1:5 (see label on the torque multiplier)
Output torque: 520 N·m
Input torque: 520 / 5 = 104 N·m
Example 2:
Desired output torque: 520 N·m
Associated input torque: ?
Existing input torque (from table Option 1 or 2): 20 N·m
Existing output torque (from table Option 1 or 2): 100 N·m
Calculation:
20N·m/100N·m x 520N·m = 104 N·m = input torque
Setting the torque wrench:
Set the appropriate input torque on the torque wrench (see torque wrench
