3. Set the surround mode
The surround mode selects what kind of surround sound format you
want DigiTheatre Decoder to decode.
If you are using a digital source you can select AC-3 (which is Dolby
Digital), Pro Logic or Stereo.
If you are using an analog source you can select Pro Logic or Stereo.
To set this on DigiTheatre Decoder, press M until the selection in
•
the Surround box flashes, as shown in figure 32 opposite. Then
press Up and Down to go through the available modes.
To set this on the remote, press Surround to cycle through the
•
available modes, as shown in figure 32 opposite.
If you select AC-3, Pro Logic Auto ON is also displayed, as shown in
figure 33 opposite. This means that although DigiTheatre is selected to
decode AC-3 signals, if it detects a digitally-encoded Pro Logic signal it
will automatically process that as Pro Logic.
You can press the Pro Logic Auto ON button on the remote to disable
this, as shown in figure 33 opposite, so that all signals are processed
as Dolby Digital but our recommendation is that you leave Pro Logic
Auto ON enabled.

3. Surround Modus einstellen
Der Surround Mode legt fest, in welchem Format DigiTheatre Decoder
den Surround Sound dekodiert.
Ist die Quelle eine digitale, können Sie AC-3 (also Dolby Digital), Pro
Logic oder Stereo auswählen.
Ist die Quelle analog, können Sie Pro Logic oder Stereo auswählen.
Drücken Sie die M Taste am DigiTheatre Decoder sooft, bis die
•
Einträge in der Surround Mode Box blinken, wie in Abbildung 31
gezeigt. Mit Aufwärts und Abwärts wählen Sie den gewünschten
Modus aus.
Auf der Fernbedienung drücken Sie die Surround Taste sooft, bis
•
der gewünschte Modus ausgewählt ist - siehe auch Abbildung 31.
Haben Sie AC-3 ausgewählt, leuchtet im Display ebenfalls Pro Logic
Auto ON, wie Abbildung 32 zeigt. Das bedeutet, daß DigiTheatre
Decoder automatisch ein anliegendes Pro Logic Signal erkennt und
selbst in diesen Modus wechselt.
Sie können auf der Fernbedienung die Pro Logic Auto ON Taste
drücken, um diese Funktion zu deaktivieren - siehe Abbildung 32. Wir
empfehlen aber Pro Logic Auto ON eingeschaltet zu lassen.
