USE AND MAINTENANCE
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Before any installation, use and maintenance operation, read the safety instructions contained
in this manual carefully.
Remove all packing materials from the unit, to avoid danger of suffocation, keep it away from
babies and kids. Do not use if unit is damaged.
Do not use if the unit is wet.
Do not use if cord or plug is damaged.
Keep cord away from heat.
Never expose to rain, do not forget it outside and do not expose in dirty rooms.
Unplug the unit when not in use.
Place the product on furniture, shelves or on the floor, but keep it in a vertical position.
Be sure there is space around the unit for air to circulate.
Before inserting the plug make sure that the voltage is the same as indicated on the plate located
on the adapter.
This device is intended exclusively for the use for which it was created and the producer is not
responsible for any damage caused by improper use.
TROUBLE-SHOOTING (due to bad handling or shocks)
If the lamp do not light on, gently turn it until it clicks in the right position.
The logo must be in front or back of the tube, never on the side.

USE INSTRUCTIONS

Model with battery.
If we want to use KYOTO with the power of its internal battery, we need to turn the switch A on
the position "BATT" and the switch B on the position 'ON'. The lamp lights and the fan runs.
The length of the battery is approximately 4 hours.
For put off the appliance, just turn the switch B in the position 'OFF/CHARGE'.
We can also run the appliance at the lighter socket of a car (12 V) through the connector D, or
connecting it to the home power supply through the external adapter C. Both the cables C and
D end with a connector that can be inserted in the socket G on the appliance.
For put on the appliance, you need to turn the switch A on the position '12 V dc' and the switch
B on the position 'ON'. If the switch B is on the position 'OFF/CHARGE', the appliance puts off
and the battery charges.
A complete battery charge lasts approximately 10 hours.
SINCE THE INTERNAL BATTERY DISCHARGES IF NOT USED FOR A LONG PERIOD, IT IS
RECOMMEND TO CHARGE IT COMPLETELY AT LEAST EVERY 6 MONTHS.
Model without battery.
The appliance works connecting it to the lighter socket of a car (12V) through the connector D,
or connecting it to the home power supply through the external adapter C. Both the cables C
and D end with a connector that can be inserted in the socket G on the appliance. For put on
the appliance, you need to put turn the switch A in the position 1.
INDOORS SUGGESTED USE
Preferably position the KYOTO at a height of about 2 meters, placing it in the darkest area of the
room, far from windows if mounted permanently. For use in bedroom turn on the KYOTO at dusk,
keeping shutters or blinds closed, and the device on a chair or on the night table with its back,
from which air comes out, towards you.
OUTDOORS SUGGESTED USE (never in the rain)
To achieve maximum performance in a permanent mounting, we suggest you to hang KYOTO
at some 2/3 meters from the ground, under a roof or any other kind of shelter to protect it from
rain and moisture. Never expose the unit to the rain and do not turn it on if wet, Keep it at some
distance from people rooms, in the darkest area but not beyond its effective range (10-12m).
Turn on the KYOTO as early as spring or as soon as the first troublesome insects appear.
