Mains operation
Connect the included mains adapter to the DC 5 V power input
socket (25) and to a 230 V wall socket.
Information
• When the main unit is switched on for the first time, it will enter
a calibration mode in which it requires you to enter a value for
the atmospheric pressure. The atmospheric pressure varies from
one geographic location to another and in order to be able to
calibrate the weather station you will need to find out the current
atmospheric pressure at your location from an Internet weather
service or other reliable source to use as a reference value.
- The value for the atmospheric pressure (14) will flash. Press or
hold in [ ▲ ] or [ ▼ ] to change the value. Confirm by pressing
[ SET ] or wait for 20 seconds.
• After the set reference pressure has been confirmed the main unit
will begin an automatic scan for nearby sensors. The scan will
be indicated by the
the scan the main unit can't find, or loses contact with a sensor,
"—.-" will appear on the display. Hold in [ CH ] for 3 seconds to
manually scan for and re-register the sensors.
Placement/mounting
Note:
Things to consider before choosing where to place the units:
• Avoid radiant heat from surrounding buildings, roofs, etc. As a rule,
the temperature sensor should be installed about 5 ft (1.5 m) above
the ground and shaded from direct sunlight.
• Test the operation of the sensor in the intended location before
installing it. The range can also be affected by the type of obstacles
located between the transmitter and the receiver (e.g. a concrete
wall will interfere with the signal more than a plasterboard wall).
• Other wireless equipment using the same frequency band
(433 MHz) can reduce the transmission range.
• Make sure that the wall has no concealed electrical wiring,
gas or water pipes before drilling/screwing.
