Solenoid valve for:
Time control electronic / Infra-red electronic in Urinal Row installations
Function
When the user stands in the reception zone of the infra-red light, a diode receives a reflected signal which
is transmitted to the solenoid. This electrical impulse activates a magnetic coil, lifting the solenoid's dia-
phragm plunger and opens the relief valve.
Water above the diaphragm can now flow out via the spill channel changing the pressure below the dia-
phragm. The diaphragm is now lifted from its sealing position allowing water to flow through the solenoid
valve and into the urinal inlet.
When the user leaves the reception zone the electrical signal ends allowing the plunger to drop back on
to the relief valve. Water, under mains pressure, can now refill the space above the diaphragm via the
pressure equalization hole. As the water pressure above the diaphragm increases it sinks back into the
sealing position and closes the water flow.
Fault
Solenoid valve does not shut off
