Wall mounted boilers

This chapter explains how to install the xM10 function modules
in a wall mounted boiler.
▶ Observe the documentation for the wall mounted boiler.
At most, two xM10 function modules can be integrated in a wall
mounted boiler.
▶ Remove casing from the boiler (see boiler installation and
maintenance instructions).
▶ Insert function module [1] into the recesses using the
locking hooks and engage in the lock.

In accordance with the specifications in the documentation and
connection diagrams for the relevant wall mounted boiler,
remove the power supply and EMS BUS cable for the function
modules from the boiler and insert correctly into the function
module.

Making electrical connections
DANGER:
Danger to life due to current!
▶ Ensure that any electrical work is only carried out by an
approved contractor.
▶ Observe the relevant requirements
when working on electrical installations.
▶ Before opening the control unit, carry out double pole
isolation of the heating system via the ON/OFF switch.
Secure against unintentional reconnection.
▶ Using the terminals provided, connect the mains supply
cable, bus cable and other components (e.g. pumps,
temperature sensors etc.) to the function module
according to the application. For the exact assignment
(components - terminals), refer to the connection
diagrams provided.
▶ Correctly connect further components with the function
module terminals according to the connection diagram.
If you install a second xM10 function module:
▶ connect the mains supply cable and bus cable from the first
through to the second function module xM10 using the
cables provided.
DANGER:
Danger to life due to current!
Prevent the risk of voltage flashes between the 230 V and the
extra-low voltage by wires at the terminals coming loose
unintentionally.
▶ Fix together the wires of every cable connected. This can be
done by stripping back a short section of cable sheath or
with cable ties close to the terminals ( Fig. 14).
