7.6. Overheating protection

The fan heater is equipped with overheating protection, which automatically switches off the
heating element if there is internal overheating. By contrast, the fan continues in order to accelerate
the fan heater cooling process. As soon as the fan heater has cooled down again, the heating
element switches on again independently.
FIRE HAZARD
The overheating protection is not usually triggered for no reason. Please check the
following aspects:
Can the fan heater give off heat with no obstructions?
Is the fan heater placed too close to a wall or another object?
Is the fan heater covered?
Are the fan heater's air inlet grid and air outlet grid (2) unobstructed?
Is the fan blocked by foreign objects?
Resolve any apparent problems immediately or contact the manufacturer. If the
overheating protection is triggered repeatedly for no apparent reason, there may be a
technical fault. If this is the case, do not use the fan heater any longer and please contact
the manufacturer.

7.7. Tilt protection

This fan heater is equipped with a safety switch (5). This can be found on the base of the unit. As
soon as the fan heater starts to tilt or falls over, it will be automatically switched off by the safety
switch (5).
The fan heater only switches back on when it's in an upright, secure position and the safety switch
(5) is switched on.
FIRE HAZARD The safety switch (5) should not be manipulated or blocked to allow the
fan heater to be operated in any other position other than upright.

8. Troubleshooting

The fan heater doesn't seem to be functioning
Check whether the power connector is plugged into the power socket correctly.
Check whether the power socket is supplying voltage. Check your mains fuses if necessary.
The fan heater does not heat up
Make sure that the operating mode switch (4) is turned to "I" or "II".
Check the position of the thermostat (7) and, if required, turn it as far right as it'll go.
Check whether the fan heater is in an upright position and the safety switch (5) is activated.
