The torque wrench is used in the following manner:
1. Unlock the torque wrench (
handle clockwise.
Example – setting the value of the tightening torque to 146Nm.
1.1. Rotate the handle so that the "0" line on its edge is located opposite the lengthwise line of
the wrench spindle by the value 140Nm (Fig.3).
1.2. Next, set the value "6" opposite the lengthwise line on the spindle by rotating the handle
clockwise. Now, the wrench will tighten with the torque of 146Nm. (Fig.4)
2. Lock the wrench, once the desired value of the torque is set (
3. Once the wrench is set, commence tightening a nut or bolt by exerting pressure on the wrench
handle. Immediately, when the ratchet clicks, release the pressure exerted by your hand. At the
same time, the adjustment of the wrench will return to its initial setting, that is to "0". Particular
attention should be paid, when tightening with a low value of the torque.
4. When the torque wrench is used for the first time or has not been used for a longer period of time,
use the wrench for 5 to 10 times, setting a higher value of the torque to lubricate the internal parts of
the wrench with special oil inside. When the wrench is unused, set the torque to the lowest value.
5. Do not continue to exert pressure on the wrench handle, once a desired torque is reached, since it
may damage the tightened connection.
6. Before the wrench is adjusted, check if it is not locked.
The wrench is calibrated and set to ensure its operation accuracy of the order of ±4%. The wrench is a
precise tool and should be operated by a professional only. Do not immerse the wrench in any fluid,
since it may affect lubrication of its internal parts.
