Windows XP with service pack 2
Save and close all other programs running on your laptop before you start installing
the software.
Start your laptop and log on to Windows XP as an Administrator or as a User with
administrator privileges. After the operating system has loaded completely, insert the
Hama USB 2.0 PC card into your laptop. Windows Installation Assistant starts and
recognises the hardware automatically and integrates the required drivers in your
system in the background. Please wait until a balloon tip appears in your notifi cation
area that informs you that the hardware has been successfully installed and that you
can now use it. The Hama USB 2.0 PC card cannot be used until this message has
appeared.
Important instructions for Windows XP
You can check whether the PC card was properly installed in Device Manager.
To do so, click -> Start -> Control Panel -> Performance and Maintenance ->
System. In the System Properties window, select -> Hardware -> Device Manager.
The following entries must appear in the USB Controllers section without a yellow
exclamation mark.

Properties window, select -> Hardware -> Device Manager. The following entries
